Looks like we're just waiting on that first domino to fall but Norwichs FA Cup performance dictates which players we'd be going for. If they go out then Idah and the other deals should all fall nicely over the next week.

If not Idah then we're looking at another striker, possibly on a permanent and that would mean we'd have to look at funding on the other deals or maybe some players just suit better with others?

Didn’t someone on here suggest that Norwich are a respectful club and surely wouldn’t renege on our agreed deal with them.

Come on Burnley can't see why they (Norwich) would keep him on bench for the cup games but not have in the match day squad

Difference between us and Charlton is we would guarantee him starts

Bit worrying if your transfer policy is dependent on Norwich going out of the FA cup.

We are down below what must be a the minimum number of players that is practical to see us through until the end of the season yet i still can’t see the club bringing in more than one .
The type of players we are looking for, just isn’t available until the summer when contracts runout and teams refresh their squads .
To bring bodies in now will be more expensive and unless that player is vital to what DM is looking for I can’t see us paying out money so it will be a quality loan at best I just hope that we’ve not had to  wait for nothing .

No. I said I ASSUME they are a club which has a carefully thought out plan for Idah's development, and I'd expect them not to chuck that oot the window based on one performance against a Tier 2 reserve side.

I might be wrong though.

If, as it seems, that Idah is the focus of "Plan A", then it makes sense to me that it looks a bit like this:

Plan A: Sign Idah on loan, meaning money is there to sign Player 2 and/or 3 permanently. Perhaps midfielder and a winger?

Plan B: No Idah, so we sign a striker permanently. Maybe Humphrys. Then we sign Player 4 & 5, perhaps on loan.

As long as one of the Plans is enacted on Monday when we know Idah's Norwich fate, then all will be fine as we have the whole week to finish these deals off and give the squad the reinforcements they need to push on.

Possibly the case it was all set to happen at the beginning of the month but his hattrick and their lack of strikers ruined everything for us.

It depends to some extent as to where Norwich see his current development level.  Either with a struggling Championship team or a top 10 League One team.  Provided he is as good as he looks, he would be more or less guaranteed a start every week with Rovers, but perhaps not at Charlton or another Championship team.  The decision is down to Norwich, but as the OP suggests, either scenario is dependent on them going out of the FA Cup.

On a slight tangent, the Bristol City lad, Samenyo, hasn’t gone anywhere, yet, to my knowledge?

When we inevitably end up signing some players this coming week you're gonna get some idiots thinking that Moore only having 6 subs was the reason.
