I thought he was going to stick the nut on one of Southends staff, the way he sprinted up to him and went eye to eye 😂😂😂

Haha yeah he was very strange with a lot of his actions, the guy who he ran over to and got in his face was Hermann Hreidarsson

What did their coach do to get that. Ref was excellent tonight I thought. Quite an easy game to ref but seemed to want to let it flow and play advantages where possible.

I actually know Darren - used to play footy with him in the RAF - albeit some 25 years ago.  He's a good lad...

Except when Southend had a player off the pitch for treatment in the first half & their keeper sat down in his area as we were about to take a throw in, pointing to his foot (in an effort to give the player receiving treatment time to get back on the pitch?), players from both sides then went to’take on fluids’.

But even after their keeper was back on his feet & Southend players were still just wandering around the technical area, presumably in an effort to get their player back on the pitch before play resumed, the referee made no effort to signal to carry on with the throw in & so the ‘Southend wander around’ continued. What was that all about?!

The ref was looking almost pleadingly at the Southend bench to make a substitution before someone in the West Stand coaxed “BLOODY GERRON WI’ IT REF!! & he promptly blew his whistle for play to commence.

I thought he made some odd decisions, typically then one where their defender raised his foot chest high on Blair, who stood his ground just outside their box, and Southend got the free kick..

Over did the advantage in my opinion when it was potentially our free kick, but not theirs..

But it doesn’t matter, we won at a canter.

what the one when Blair took a air shot volley after their lad got to the ball 1st

I thought he had a decent game but, for me, the advantages that he played didn't run for long enough.  There were a few times when he let us play the advantage and we lost the ball in 2 to 3 seconds but it wasn't called back and the game went on. That's nitpicking, though.

No, a different one where Blair didn’t raise a boot at all..
