Rovers v Wycombe
« on February 29, 2020, 12:56:39 pm by RoversAlias »
Two hours or so until kick-off, as Rovers look to keep their faint Play-Off hopes alive against one of the division's best sides.

You can read our Match Preview of the game here: https://www.intotheemptynet.com/post/iten-match-preview-wycombe-h1920

My interview with Wycombe fan Tom Hancock from Chairboys Central is well worth a read too, available here: https://www.intotheemptynet.com/post/match-preview-xtra-chairboys2

Team line-ups should be announced in just over an hour. Let's hope for three big points this afternoon!

My only disagreement would be Sheaf instead of Gomes, I'm not sure why he would drop Sheaf. However, I'm glad Sadlier is back and delighted for Amos. Hopefully he takes his chance.

No complaints about that line up.

Two from me - I’d rather see Sheaf in for Gomes, and I don’t think Cole has done much so far so I’d prefer to see Ennis back up front (where he was very effective the last few games he played there) and Taylor or Copps starting behind.

I get the feeling Copps is being phased out

Can see the merit in that line up. Perhaps agree with others though with the preference of Sheaf.

Ideally, Fejiri would be in the front 3 but obviously not available.

Good luck to Amos I hope he shows again what he can do. He delivers great crosses into the box.

nice to see Amosquito get a start hopefully he can fly down the wing and put in some stinging crosses  :scarf:

a lot to look forward to today with Lokiko on the bench as well

He’s put Sheaf on the bench to cover either defensive midfield or centre back. John has had to sit this one out to make way for Lokilo.

Baptiste is there for CB cover. I think it's also a question of rotating the loanees, probably depending on more than random factors. Lokilo has sounded like he was due a 1st team appearance, and John is the one making way.

I don’t think so, Baptiste is on the bench so there’s your centre half cover. He could also still start and drop back if needed. I think Moore has just mixed it up as he likes to do, Gomes for whatever reason must be better suited to this opposition.

I'd have started Taylor over Cole i think. Good option to come off the bench though but i'm sure he'd like to be starting

when i saw Fred Onyedinma get a mention on the BBC text playing for Wycombe i thought for a minute somehow Rovers had transferred him  :suicide:

on checking  we have

Fejiri Okenabirhie

it would have been a nightmare for the match commentators with both playing

Dead right Sydney, because the manager doesn't rotate.

before we had the influx of players so did we and i think it was us against the world sort of spirit and the new players have changed that a bit, if only we had a bit more time
