Spot the mistake
« on April 16, 2020, 04:06:40 pm by Donnywolf »
....on this Annan Athletic Ticket
Yes I know we have had it before but there seem to be a lot of new people and they might have not seen it and want a "laff"

I can see four mistakes straight away DW.
I have seen this before though so I won’t list them in case it spoils things for those that haven’t seen it before.

So as I see it

1) Ladbrokes spelt wrongly

2) 2017 / 2019 is obviously wrong

3) Queens Park spelt wrongly

4) Match was not in 2008 (according to the Stubs) but in 2018

5) Kick off V 3pm no spacing

6) Also cant be right even with spaces !

7) For conditionx is a typo

8) Complimentagy is a typo

9) Left stub is a Concession that does not match the right as that is Adult

10) Left stub is worth £3 and that does not match right stub with £62 (Priti Patel maths there)

11) Left stub is for CAFC and not QPAFC (They played Celtic U20s 4 days earlier so that may explain CAFC)

12) Right stub is for PAFC not QPAFC (Peterhead maybe - but they would not play them for another 4 weeks)

13) Left stub is not numbered the same as main ticket (0187)

14) Right stub does not match Main ticket either (0187) or for that matter the left Stub but they have suffered enough

Seriously anyone got any more ?
EDIT - YES well spotted Adamtherover
15) Soturday printed on right stub !

Can we have , aside from the spelling, it says complimentary on the front face, but cash values on the 2 stubs?

Plus, when do you get 2 stubs on a ticket?

Yes - I would say thats one I didnt consider. You are certainly getting into this lol

Ticket designated as "Complimentagy" and yet having a value on each stub - albeit a different value on each stub

One thing for sure - they cant deny they made a bit of a mess of this !

I will post a short tale from last time we went through this ticket because it still makes me chuckle. On the plus side I have to say the people of and around Annan are super friendly. When I was in Club house before games they would always be really friendly becasue I suppose they knew each other so then knew strangers

I posted this shortly after the "duff" Ticket was printed Aug 2018

_________________________________________________________________________________________

The best bit is I went there quite a few years back as I was working up there. It was a night game and in fact was their first "first class" Floodlit Game

They were near the top of the League and so were their oppos Albion Rovers. I bought a Prog for £1 and went in Clubhouse for a Beer. Looked at the League Tables and both Teams were mid table or lower. Strange?

I then went to Managers Notes where it started something like "Hello everyone and can I first say Happy Hogmonay to all"   Strange I thought as it was Mid Feb or even later I seem to remember. So I looked at the Cover and it was Dated something like the 4th of Jan

So it turned out the first game was frozen off and so they just put the Progs from that day away and despite maybe different Players in their Teams and different League positions and doubtless other stuff they then got them out again 6 weeks later and flogged em for the same £1

Ive still got mine !

It makes you think that it might have been done on purpose to make people talk about it.

I can remember Rovers doing this on at least one occasion when i used to buy programmes, and stapling on an extra sheet with the updated squad list.

The famous one for this is the home FA Cup tie against Cambridge the round before we played at Norwich in the early 80's. That had a wraparound cover on the original and is now very rare to find. Goes for at least £10-£12
