Good luck to him.

Never shy of effort. Few too many injuries.

Having watched the N Ireland cup final he is going to cruise

It wasn’t good

He should be so much better than majority playing here

The Cup wasn’t the best ,but the semi final Glentoran vs Cliftonville was a really entertaining match . I spoke to someone yesterday and if he stays fit he’ll be one best players in the league

Can't let this thread go without mentioning the last player who was on Rovers books who ended up at Glentoran - with thanks to Draytonian who pointed it out to me when we went to see the Glens. Keeper Elliot Morris left Rovers in 2000 having been on loan to us from West Brom, didn't actually play a game for us, but went to Glentoran in 2002 and is still playing (he has more appearances than Copps for us) and indeed played in the Cup Final last week!

He used to cruise with us. That was Luke's problem; he was one paced and slow to turn.

Good luck to him, used to infuriate me letting the ball bounce rather than heading it. Poor reader of the game at our level but hopefully he will do well back home

Totally agree. He's found his level now.

Good luck to him.

Stuart Elliott finished his career at Glentoran in 2013 .
Also Ian Duerden played on loan for the Glens from Burnley, and we signed the recently sacked Dino Maamria from them in 1998

Many thanks DIII.

I had forgotten about Stuart Elliott - though he did only make 4 apearances for the Glens.

I did not realise about Duerden and Maamria, but in my defence that pre-dates my interest in Glentoran (moved over here in 2013), and the were both before Elliot Morris.

Apart from Peter Doherty - any other Glentoran - Rovers connections you are aware of DIII?

Edit: Have discovered Jimmy Walker and Darren Finlay

Stuart Elliott started at Glentoran, and think his moves to England and Scotland were based on locations of the places of worship that he attended
