At least all the university students not wearing masks and not social distancing “have what is coming to them” same as Cummings and corbyn and most of the black lives matters protesters

But not the anti-mask protestors, anti-BLM protestors, anti-refugee protestors not wearing masks or social distancing - and the police they may have infected whilst fighting with them?

How strange.
yes all them wilts

I just find it amazing how he's recovered so fast from being in ICU compared to people who've only had a "mild" case and still suffering potentially permanent health implications off the back of it.

because people are different I had it at the same time as my wife she was quite poorly and is still suffering now

And did you go into ICU? If not, your example doesn't really add anything. No I didn’t but I know of people who have, some are taken there as a precaution and some there is no option, so it would depend which one he was

Odd how two sides very close to the President have mis-spoken today.

His medic said we were 72 hours on from Trump testing positive. But then it was pointed out that would have meant that Trump went to a campaign rally knowing he was positive. And a few hours later, the medic said he really meant we were in the third day after the positive test.

Then Trump's chief of staff said the next 48 hours were "critical". Before later correcting himself and saying Trump was doing very well and was up and about asking for documents to read and sign.

You'd think they'd get it right, wouldn't you?

Some talk he's more serious than they want to be known, which would be understandable.

Take the people involved out of the equation for a moment.

Are you really saying you've got no problem with people outright lying?

Did I mention covid in my question?

I asked, do you have a problem with people lying to you or not?

It does not really bother me unless it’s someone close to me that I care about, so yes and no is the answer lol

I suppose you guys will excuse me while I laugh at your idea that Trump or Johnson would be replaced with anyone less corrupt, the replacements whoever they are might have a different veneer, but less corrupt and self idolizing? do me a favour.
Two years ago everyone's favourite was running back and forward across the channel to Brussels trying his utmost to overturn the democratic vote of the United Kingdoms electorate.

It's a good point Selby and when you put it in those terms it's difficult to counter .

Starmer ain't my idol and he never will be over Brexit but if he ever wants to walk through the door of NO.10 he's at least realised taking that stance will lead to failure .

For me personally speaking almost anything is better than a Tory government and I have a back catalogue of their policies to fall back on that have harmed the working class in this country .

Starmer may well be a charlatan but at least he's my charlatan .

As in everyone disliked Roy Keane but you'd have had him in yours and my club all day long .

No, it was b*llocks.

That Johnson and his cronies have lied since the brexit campaign and in government -lies which affect everyone including your loved ones - doesn’t bother you..

Doesn’t mean that others wouldn’t be any better - that’s not what I’m saying - but why you seem to defend certain things is beyond me.

As for Trump, I’m wondering if he will use this episode not to delay the election but to gain sympathy voters.?

I deffo dont want to get involved in this but I am promted to ask given what you have said :

If someone close to you wanted a certain drug or a certain bit of PPE or they would probably die and Matt Hancock and Johnson both promised it would be here "within days" and yet they knew they had not even ordered it and the person close to you died how would you feel about that

It would later emerge that hundreds of people wanted the thing globally and they had been outbid but chose to lie to those involved

I know its a stretch and hypothetical but how would you feel about that OR does your reply mean you would really care (hate it) if a person close to you lied to you BUT if Johnson or Hancock lie you are not bothered in the slightest

As I said I dont want to start Posts back and forward I just wondered which it was

Picture in The Sunday Times I think of a rally at the White House no masks and all who have since developed Covid numbered, most of them

I reckon I could post numerous links of every British pm lying several times, of all parties, but that has not stopped you voting and defending labour has it? Why?

Bpool.
I don't recall John Major ever publicly and willfully lying over major issues. Not Gordon Brown. If someone can point to examples of them doing, I'd be happy to reconsider.

Johnson is different. Even to PMs like Blair who were devious in what they said, but never outright lied. Johnson has built a career around lying. He's been sacked from 2 jobs for his dishonesty.

Apparently Trump is being administered dexamethasone. If that's true, he's in big trouble. It means he is very seriously ill. My understanding is that this is recommended for use only in serious cases of oxygen deficiency because of damage to the lungs.

His doctors seem to have said earlier that he's improving and could be discharged early next week.

You don't know what's true though. The guy's clearly learned from Kim Jong Un on how to handle an illness.

You need to take into consideration who this particular doctor is. It's not some random medic. It's Trump's own hand-picked personal doctor. You reckon Trump, who had 6 close aides prefer to choose to be convicted of Federal felonies rather than rat on him, would choose to expose his most intimate medical records to someone who wasn't entirely under his control.

Look at what that medic said yesterday, when he point blank stonewalled simple questions on whether Trump had been treated with oxygen at any time since testing positive, repeatedly saying Trump wasn't on oxygen "at present". That wasn't the response of a neutral medic. It was the response of a media manager.

Yeah. Not saying I believe him. Just adding the latest "news" I've seen.

We'll probably see over the next week how serious it is.

And this is what the same medic said when quizzed about it

“ Dr Conley was also quizzed on why on Saturday he refused to admit the president had been given supplemental oxygen at the White House on Friday, when his chief of staff Mark Meadows told reporters medics were "very concerned" about his vital signs before he arrived at Walter Reed.

He said he was "trying to reflect the upbeat attitude of the team" and "didn't want to give any information that might steer the course of illness in another direction".
