Will SY going into tier 3 have an impact on Rovers fixtures?

I ask this given that tier 3 regulations include guidance on travelling in or out of the area.

If this was followed to the law then it would mean Rovers would not be allowed to travel to away games, and opposition teams unable to travel to play Rovers.

So, presumably Crewe would be perfectly within their rights to say they're not travelling to play the fixture on Saturday? (Hypothetically, I'm not suggesting they would) Or are these rules simply not applicable to professional football clubs and their staff?

You can still travel for work. Its travelling for leisure or to meet up with families etc that you can't do

I believe Liverpool, in Tier 3 restrictions for a week, are playing in Amsterdam this evening.

Yes and tested to the nth degree LFC should be fine in Amsterdam and Crewe in Donny

Seemingly not. At the time of posting I thought only Liverpool city areas were at tier three – Lancashire going into the same lockdown completely passed me by – so I didn't think there was a precedent for any Football League clubs (Everton & Liverpool being tested regularly).

Does highlight the pointlessness of the local tier system though... who knew a virus could tell the difference between a footballer and daytripper?

The Welsh Premier League is currently in a weird situation whereby professional sport is permitted to continue during Wales' lockdown... but only a handful of teams in the Welsh Premier League are professional.
