 …. it is actually TWO Category C Season Tickets for the 2021/2022 Season


What can I say ? In the past people have been extremely generous in donating Prizes for Super6 with Signed Shirts, Books, Flags and other prizes money cannot buy and they do  without doubt add to the interest. This giving has continued this Season and I already have featured 2 great prints done by Tiddysdad of Billy Sharp and the Celebrations at Brentford and brilliant they are so thanks for those and all donations in the past. Much appreciated by all Players I hope


Then recently I was stunned , bowled over , blown away by an offer someone made to provide 2 Season Tickets for the 2021 / 2022 Season to the Winner of our League. I did not know what to say and when we met I was impressed that the donor saw it as their way of “giving something back” and my reaction initially was to try to talk them out of it as I thought and still do that it is way too generous.

Then I “butted out” figuring that it was nobody but the donors “business” and certainly not mine and so here we are with 2 Cat C Season Tickets and I am sure everyone will agree a tremendous probably never to be repeated prize for the winner of the League. The giver of the prize decided on 2 Tickets because if someone won “they said” surely they would like to take a friend along rather than go by themselves ?


I cant speak too highly of the person that has offered this prize – they are Rovers  through and through , genuine and of course selfless and their only condition ? Complete anonymity which I am happy to comply with FOREVER. I have tried to refer to them in the third person so avoiding the use of he or she to  avoid giving even that as a clue LOL
However I offer them my sincere thanks and have promised life long free drinks (be that Beer or Wine lol no clue there either) from me and I am sure there will be many people on here wishing to add personal thanks to this kind Rovers fan and generous person – assuming of course they are Forum Members and get to read them!


So there we are folks – better than a deadline day signing ? Better than a 4-1 thrashing of the League leaders ? I think so. Just a few bits of tying up to do with the Club as of course there are no ST’s for 2021/22 yet and no prices etc and I am assuming and hoping that they will be amenable. In addition the winner I hope (as well as being ecstatic) will be able to upgrade if they wish to - though I have not been able to agree that with the Club yet either.

                                            So the prizes and categories will be as follows :


Overall League winner – 2 Category C Season Tickets for the 21/22 Season (Thanks ANON)
League Runner up (never had a prize before) – Billy Sharp “That’s for you Son” print **
Highest scorer in a single Round – Rovers at Brentford celebrations print **

Finally as the Season Ticket offer has arrived late in the day I am going to move the deadline for entries until the 31^st of October. Remember we have just that one Rule – that you must be entered into the Super6 Competition by a deadline date to win any Prize

This is helpful in 2 ways in that people are asking throughout the Season to join the League and I was always reluctant to let them in in case they suddenly “went top” - but felt mean in another way as it looked like I was “blocking them” and I wanted it more the merrier and to let anyone in at any time.

On the other hand without a deadline any opportunists might stumble on our little comp and see the prizes on offer and see that if they entered they would be in with a great chance of winning a certain prize and join even with a few Rounds to go . It was a loophole and I fixed it a few Seasons back

So having a deadline is a good idea for both of those reasons and will let people in at any time they choose but they need to be in and registered to win anything – so I had set it for the next Round which would be Round 8 but I now realise that people might want to get in with the Prizes on offer or get friends and family involved and will need time to alert them. At the moment there are even past Champions who have not entered this Season so they might be tempted to get in now


So please tell yourselves and others to “get in” but get in quick and once the Round on October the 31^st is “underway” that will be the deadline cut off point and I will copy and publish the names of everyone eligible to win a Prize at the Seasons end (Sorry Jeff Stelling – you cant be in either) along with the Tie breakers etc.

.. and reminder if you have mates friends or family who might like to win get them to enter Super6 by the Round on the 31st as that is the new deadline

After that people can still join at any time but cannot win any prize
