Team photo from 1972;

Who is the player next to keeper Glen Johnson, on his left?
I worked my way through all the others, but this lad has me stumped.

Great kit that was as well.

Is it Kim Book? He was a keeper for us about that time.

Kim Book is on Glen Johnson's right. I think it might be Adam Mitchell, who showed great promise but faded away.

I can't remember Adam Mitchell at all.
Did he make the first team?

The other one I was having trouble with is the blond lad on the end of the front row.
Almost gave up, then the name Charlie Morrison popped up. I don't think he did too much.

Done a bit of digging. Well done Phil, player next to GJ is indeed Alan Impey and yes, blond lad in front is one Charlie Morrison. Don't remember him at all. Maybe his only appearance was for the team photo?

Was he a full back from Bristol Rovers?
I can't remember him playing, but maybe my memory has just blanked it out!

Don't think Charlie Morrison was here for much more than a season. He came from Chelsea in the Maurice Setters era

 Charlie Morrison , went back to his native north east and played non-league in the area for Stockton , Gateshead and Crook town amongst others .

If you played with a half decent non-league team back then there wasn't much difference financially between them and the lower tiers of the football league mainly thanks to "expenses"
