RIP Peter Alliss

Sad to hear the passing of Peter Alliss. As a keen golfer i loved listening to his witty commentary, and he had his own unique style. Wasnt ever afraid to speak his mind either.

Must have been sudden, I’m sure he was doing the commentary at the Masters the other week, RIP Peter

I always say if he had been Caddying for Van de Velde when he blew the Open instead of Commentating he would have won

As the French bloke got his Club out and addressed the ball PA would have just said "ay ay ay ay ay" - and passed him a 5 iron and he would have gone on to win

I would alsways have loved to have him "describing me swing" as he used to do. Bet he would have been peeing himself and would never have seen anything like it

Sad news. I bet his neighbours will never get used to not living next door to him.

RIP.

He was at the Masters Filo.
I remembered thinking at the time that he sounded very croaky and generally not well.
He had a unique way of commenting on stuff and was a very funny man.
He will be sadly missed.

He was commentating on the Masters from home.
He mentioned it several times during the broadcast.
