Christmas Day table
« on December 18, 2020, 06:46:44 pm by NickDRFC »
Pragmatists, realists, superstitious tempting-fate believers and one-game-at-a-time merchants might as well look away now...but if:

- Hull fail to win against Pompey tonight (looking pretty likely given it’s now 2-0)
- We win at Burton tomorrow
- We win against the Shrews on Tuesday

We will be top on Christmas Day. Just made a late amendment to my Christmas list...

We are the only game on Tuesday, and no one else is more than 2 points ahead of us. You do the math.

Edit - other than Pompey and Hull, who are 5 & 4 points ahead of us respectively but don’t play again until Boxing Day.

Yes I can do the math, I don’t need telling..

Just thought there may be more fixtures on Tuesday that’s all..

Potentially going from 9th to 1st in 3 weeks or so would be some rise...  Just shows how many of the top 6 have dropped points over last few weeks...

Sunderland were supposed to play, I think, Oxford, but they are in quarantine now. It's a rearranged game for us so not a midweek others have games scheduled for.

All this talk of being top at Christmas probably means we’re nailed on to lose tomorrow

Good thing posts on an internet forum have no bearing on a football game isn't it? :)

I can't see how information on a web page could possibly affect how many goals are scored or conceded over the course of 90+ minutes.

Is that three straight defeats for high-flying Hull?

I’m loving it. Last season, relegation from the Championship after challenging for the play offs. Hull fans absolutely hate McCann, he is the devil incarnate.

This season, brilliant start. Hull fans .... maybe Grant isn’t so bad after all, we’re going to walk this league, he knows what he’s doing.

Tonight.... Hull fans.... Sack this useless t**t!

Marvellous!

Don't worry I'll have a bet on rovers to lose or draw to guarantee us the win

If my eyesight is right, over the last 5 games we have the best form in the league.

If not try a drive to Barnard Castle maybe. That's been known to fix things lol

Hopeful we will do a number on Burton (whats the state of the Pitch I wonder) then roll Shrewsbury. Still not forgotten losing at home 0-1 when they did not register even ONE shot on target. Goal came from the corner in South West corner that crawled its way in

According to the bbc stats, Pompey managed the win last night with zero shots on target.

It’s an Americanism I think. I just love saying it because of this scene...

Would you look at that, people were talking about something online before the event and it had no negative effect. :)
