I asked that in lucky pint early doors, seems no one knows.
I thought I heard Robbie call him Alex at one point, if that helps anyone?

I'm sure Robbie Andrews said he won't be there on Tuesday, so Gibbo will be doing the main commentary.

He did say that. Robbie is very good, doesn't make himself centre of attention.

Robbie Andrew is the best we have. ever had ....since Bradders of course .He describes play well is very articulate and does not crowd the listener and viewer like his side kick did today at times .

Who is that Sunderland bloke who's on? Don't think he's a Rovers fan the way he always refers to us at 'Doncaster'. Never 'us' or 'Rovers'.

Both were good today I thought. Also enjoyed Joe Wright last time.

I might be totally wrong here, but I'm sure Robbie refers to him as Paul.

I think it may be Paul Goodwin, former DFP reporter.

A young lad who works in the media team, is a DRFC supporter, probably doesn't have much experience doing commentary and is no doubt trying his best to learn the skill and is stepping up to do a job as part of a small team.

Maybe he deserves to be cut a bit of slack and given a chance to cut his teeth at it. I've certainly heard a lot lot worse.

Fwiw I think Paul Goodwin from the DFP (the Sunderland bloke) is always good value when he's on.

To be fair, I try to do that when I'm on there; 'Doncaster' or 'Rovers' but not 'us'

When you se Doncaster, it comes across as you being an outsider, Rovers is a much better term of endearment

We are called Doncaster, guys. That is our name. Nothing wrong with using it as well as Rovers.

It was Alex Gibbings, who will deputise for Robbie on Tuesday night. Paul Goodwin has been the co-comms several times this season as has Glen, and of course Joe Wright and Jon Taylor have also appeared when injured too.

Robbie does a really good job, as does Glen. Of all the problems people have had with iFollow, surely the quality of commentary is not one.

It crossed my mind today that the Gibbo bloke was edging on being quite biased with some comments, a bit like the Carlisle main commentator but not anywhere near as bad.

I think the commentary is very good, I used to have issues a few years back where they never followed the game, but for me massive improvement keep up the good work

Absolutely nothing wrong with the commentary,  it's been really professional all season.

In general it has been good.
I have never used iFollow until this season so can’t comment on previous years.
I have enjoyed it most when we have had players such as Jon Taylor or Joe Wright as co commentators.

Joe Wright I really enjoyed because he talked about the "nuances" of the game. Ive never been a tactician or formation man and was fascinated by him pointing stuff out I didnt think existed

Example - "we are setting traps for the opposition - letting them have the ball in certain areas before pouncing when they enter the trap."

I was intrigued and with due respect to the other "summarisers" the players do provide more interesting stuff (imho)

Think we all need to remember just how bleedin' rubbish the Carlisle commentators were during their game and be thankful for the quality we get week in week out.

I listened to the Radio Derby commentators on our game yesterday and they were brilliant apart from one of them having a boot fetish lol
