It was 15 years ago today we nearly toppled the mighty Arsenal to reach the Carling Cup semi final, so close yet so far.

It definitely mattered. One of life’s regrets for Heffs I’m sure, a semi final of a major cup completion.... seconds away. Gutted and still play it over in my head. That season was magical in so many ways. But what followed trounced it

Hindsight though.

If Heffs had bounced it off the Arsenal player and out for a corner as he had tried the ref might blown for time.

My related memory of that time was the following fixture away to Forest on Boxing Day, and their fans doing the “You’re not famous any more” chant directed to us.!
