When we played Palace a couple of years ago I was hugely disappointed, it was as though we gave them too much respect as a PL team and didn't even make a game of it. As long as we have a go this time I'll be happy.

No AJ Greaves ... cup tied wtf !!

The DFP confirm that he is definitely cup tied due to FA cup game(s) played whilst at Gainsborough on loan earlier this season.  I don’t think that it was remotely anticipated that we might either get this far in the competition or that AJ would be someone who could be in line for a starting place.

Despite a promising debut against Rochdale, I don’t think that DM would have started him at West Ham due to his inexperience, but he has missed out on a place on at least the bench.

Well I guess when AJ joined Trinity on loan it was planned to be for longer anyway and had their season not been suspended he wouldn't have been back here anyway? If so I don't think we can blame anyone for letting him play in the cup for Gainsborough.

Nothing to lose but we are short on numbers, it will be tough, very tough.  League is far more important now.

DM has said that our bench will be filled up with players from the junior teams.

Don’t forget, while you’re taking in the Cup game on Saturday, keep one eye on the scores from a couple of interesting games in league one:

Ipswich v Peterboro
Portsmouth v Hull

Then, on the Tuesday night, while we entertain the Wombles:

Accrington v Hull
Portsmouth v Lincoln
Ipswich v Sunderland
