Italexit
« on January 25, 2021, 11:09:30 pm by normal rules »
Conte due to hand in his resignation tomorrow. Polls in Italy have Mateo Salvini‘s right wing party and it’s allies as faves to take over.
More bad news for the EU.
Salvini is not a fan of the EU and his appointment, if it transpires, will cause concern in Brussels.
#Italexit?

Mmm, I’m sure that someone on the forum guaranteed that no other countries would leave the EU.

Perhaps the Italremainers will do a better job of showing how 'great' it would be.

They don't have to, the unelected bureaucrats that run the show are gradually showing how bad it is going to get and how much control independent countries will come under the yoke of Germany and France every day.

EU show true colours.
The Astra Zeneca vaccine should be  held back for UK only use if that is their game.

Selby doesn't understand how the EU works, never has, never will.  He'll just keep on spouting crap because that's all he believes!

I guess he's happy that we have unelected bureaucrats in our Government and that we've 'appointed' a Russian with direct links to the KGB to the House of Lords though!

Pretending not to understand very simple things to wind people up is functionally the same as being very stupid.

Is it therefore acceptable to hold back the AZ vaccine?  I'd say not....

Aren't they asking the producers to supply them with the agreed amounts?

Isn't that the complaint? The AZ vaccine has been held back so they are going to hold the Pfizer back in return unless it is released?

It’s being held back due to production issues in a EU facility in Belgium, on this one, let them hold back the Pzifer vaccine back, its difficult to store and must be used within hours of thawing out, in return AZ close the Belgian facility, bring the manufacturing to the UK, I think I also read somewhere that AZ are supplying the vaccine at cost, are Pzifer?

I think you all need to research this story in a bit more detail, the reason AZ are struggling to supply the EU is a cock up on behalf of the EU, their fault, not ours.

So, are the individual nations of the EU not ordering their own?

They should cough up what the UK has ordered fairly and squarely. If they don't play ball we should keep the AZ for ourselves. The EU have made the British Government look organised with the vaccine, which you would have thought was almost impossible.

That was the issue, they started to, then months down the line cancelled that and re-negotiated as the EU.

We had the option of joining with them or going our own way, which seems to have worked better.
