This definitely shows my ignorance, but aside from Appleton as manager, the lad Lewis we had on loan and Bridcutt, I’ve never heard of any of their squad.

The one venue I’ve been hoping to tick off for what seems like forever!
Looks like I’ll have to wait till next year in the Championship.

I dont think they will go up lol

Well, after all the hullabaloo of the week and the ink is barely dry, it's back down to business.

I fancy an unchanged starting XI unless, Taylor is still suffering with his knock, in which case I expect Lokilo to come in.

The bench could look somewhat different with welcome returns and welcome new faces taking a 'watch and learn' brief before dipping their toes in the Sincil Bank puddles.

I don't think either manager will be feeling under any pressure for this one and will let their respective teams play with freedom to express themselves. Should be a cracking match.

I'm feeling like BB's Crystal Ball by seeing an honourable 2-2 draw.

Apparently, we’ll be short of (at least) one new signing on the bench. Rumour is Bogle self isolating.

Update: He’s tested positive for COVID.

Well, I've just splashed out a tenner for iFollow coverage so it'd better bloody work, and we'd better bloody win.

Interesting to see the two final candidates for the DRFC managers job going head to head. Let's hope the winner then can repeat the feat.

With the team selection today either we are playing a diamond or James is going to play on the left of a front 3.
I think the latter seems the most likely
Halliday and Smith holding and TJ as the attacking midfielder
Simoes and James wide with Fej up top central.

I never think our formation is ridged though. It is always fluid same as SOD

Halliday will probably be in a RWB role.

I thought that too Martin. Appleton is doing an ace job there too.

Great start another good goal from TJ

We need to tighten up on the flanks. They are getting round the back of us too easily.

That is the problem with playing centre backs at full back.
I hope DM will put Halliday and James to full back when we get Bostock and Robertson fully match fit.

I know it has worked in most matches recently but Lincoln are a different kettle of fish to Wimbledon, Rochdale, Swindon etc.

That 45minutes is the most away performance you will see from us in a very long time. Pinched a goal and defended immensely. Very organised performance so far. On the 105mins ive seen of Lincoln this season all I can say is if they are not promotion contenders i dont know who are. Very good to watch. Always a player available and made for a very uncomfortable viewing. Not sure we can withold that amount of pressure for another 45+ minutes but IF we can then it will be some effort from the team. I think DM was hoping Halliday would just keep hold of the ball a bit better than Taylor would to take the pressure off but it hasnt worked so far. We must be better in possession that is my only critique. I think the spaces are there to score another.

I haven't seen them but I imagine the possession statistics will look dreadful but aside from the long range effort that just clipped the bar, they didn't really have a clear shot the entire game. An absolutely excellent performance. What on earth was Balcombe thinking for the second penalty? Moore needs to give him the dunce cap tonight. Can't be doing that lad.

Nearly had a heart attack today. Absolutely knackered. I kicked every ball.

Balcolme well I don’t know what to say. Had a rush of blood but by how he made up for it.

You just get the feeling this is our season. The team spirit and work rate is brilliant.

Defensively awesome. Every Rover ran his socks off. As for Balcombe’s penalty saves - magnificent

We've now won 8 and lost 2 of the last 10 in the league. That is some going.

You know it’s a good day when your Imps supporting mates are texting saying it was just not their day today.

I'm in shock!

We haven't seen many crazy games like that for a looong time!

Kinda feel sorry for Lincoln. As said previously, I think they are the real deal and should go on to get promoted... With us with a bit of luck.

It was an awful pitch and conditions and reminded me of the Hull game when we couldn't get a grip. But, we dug in and climbed out of two massive holes.

Have a week off boys!

They did to us what we did to them at the Keepmoat, we looked tired in midfield, James and Haliday were not themselves, and could well need a rest.

Simeos was very poor today, after a couple of promising games, and was chasing the ball.

Madger is back!!! and looked a level above the rest, in a very short cameo.

Not what you would like to watch every week, and I bet the lads are knackered.  We won :scarf:

I am totally with you on that. I feel exhausted emotionally after that game. Balcombe - I was cursing him one second, then wanting to marry him the next!!!

I'll tell you in May. It will go down in history and be remembered for a long time. Probs just as well crowds weren't allowed in.

Lots of good performances. Though Fej looked very tired though. Way off the pace.

Too early imo. But yes I do get that feeling this team are only going to get stronger as the season goes on.
