I doubt it. Maybe the way it is administered and calculated might change reading that.

I'm sure S_M will be able to shed more light on it.

Can’t say I disagree with it going really. Player expenditure should be related to turnover. I mean, you wouldn’t tell a family they could only buy a house for 150,000 if they earned enough to buy a house for 300,000. As long as there is some control to ensure clubs don’t spend above their means then this is the best option for me

Especially if they take the turnover of this season.

It is not foolproof I know but it surely helps us against Sunderland, Ipswich, Portsmouth, Hull and Charlton for a start, given they would you might expect be spending typically a lot more than us on wages given the size of their clubs. I don't see anyone at or around promotion who we would have otherwise outspent and where the cap is damaging us.

I think that Gavin Baldwin was in favour of the link to turnover  also which I found magnanimous on his part (whilst in the same league as Sunderland ).

Sunderland are close to needing a take over a year to survive.

I think I agree in the main with a turnover based cap, however I do think clubs, or benefactors should be able to add funds for whatever reason - but proof of funds should be made available, and requested prior to spend. They should not be in the form of recoupable loans, or any other reason that could harm the club, the risk is the benefactors alone.
