Wow well done him. We all saw his potential here lol

Worth searching to see who said he would play for England and those who didnt

Not sure if i said it on here , but certainly said he was a future England Keeper in the making to anyone who would listen at the time.

Me too.

Which is why we got a framed and signed shirt from him.

Any offers?

Definitely overdue, although he has time on his side.

He was a breath of fresh air, similar to the impact Dieng had more recently.

I think I said he was England potential but whether its recorded, I don't know. Either way, it's a great achievement!

You also got a signed shirt of Jordan Ball, is that because you thought he’d play for England? ;)

Not sure he’ll actually play and once Pickford’s back he’ll be relegated below 3rd choice, but if he keeps playing in the PL he’ll have a chance of staying around the squad going forward.

Always useful for decent keepers to play in a shite team like WBA, gets them plenty of camera time. A string of decent saves and they get huge recognition, let a few in and the defending gets the blame - ‘no keeper in the world stands a chance with that one’ etc etc

Another voice here to say how good he was. I remember at the time we had SJ that Butland was the next big thing but I thought Sam had what it takes to succeed at the top.

Mmmmm I did like Sam and am not surprised he's done well in the prem. I'm really not sure he's international standard though. In fairness I don't think pickford is either

Vsc sponsored him for his time with us and as Martin has said have a signed shirt framed from him - a very good shout at the time.

Tbf I hold him responsible for the longevity of pd as our manager as he kept him in a job with an almighty display at Bradford!

Lol

Pickford should be nowhere near the National team, he’s a liability

Bizarrely enough wasn’t Pickford in goal for Bradford back then

I’m not a fan of Pickford but he’s always done well for England. He’d be 3rd choice at the Euros but get him on to do a Tim Krul in the event of a penalty shootout.

He was indeed. Future Scotland International Oli McBurnie came off the bench for Bradford too.
