About the most reliable info we've had. Butler, one other ex/player, 4 current coaches. If Wilson is on that list he must be one of the remaining two.

The 4 current coaches bit interests me the most, and probably the board. I imagine they want someone very close to having a scout-like knowledge of current players in the FL and/or links to existing clubs that can be exploited through loans etc.

Question for Martin. The DFP article states that AB will be interviewed as part of club policy. Does this mean he's part of the 8, or in addition to the 8?

Just reading that, it's clear Andy is still expressing himself as a footballer, talking about giving a good account of himself, not letting his standards drop and taking pride in the performance. He's not giving much of an insight into the team, why things aren't working, where they are and what he hopes to do to improve matters.

I don't think he's ready for this management game yet.

I thought that. But i think it's also a hint that the players have downed tools a bit i.e. i've done what i can with this lot.

Agree hard to make a case for him been ready. A few years coaching learning from another manager and he'll be ready, hopefully

Well, I presume they are all technically ex-players, as its very rare they are not, but there is a quote about 'taking first steps into management', I took that to mean someone currently or who recently played.

If the average age is 43, then Wilson is either not one of the 8 or we are also interviewing someone much younger than mid-40s too. Who knows, we may never discover who the 8 are once the one winner has emerged.
