Pressing requires massive organisation - it's not just people running around a lot. It's going to be a while based on today before we see it so hopefully RW hasn't raised expectations too much with any pre-season comments about his preferred style of play.

The tempo was lower and summed up the pre season, that's fine.

More worryingly is the lack of pace and flair up top, that needs addressing.  For the negatives there were positives too.  Close grew in to the game and Bostock made an impact.

Can safely say Barlow and Gardener are possibly the worst signings I’ve seen at that level, the football was abysmal but even worse was the run of the mill stuff, Got told my DNA card would be ready to pick up today, goes in only to be told they haven’t printed the next batch, then the bar is closed …why??? Then told its shut for the next two home games then the idiots in the ice bar served 4 people in my queue at half time!!!! Then the clown who eventually served me gave me 3 pints of bitter instead of bud…. w**k:

Positives - thought Seaman played well, Bostock looked a class above when he came on get him firing on all cylinders and he could be the best player in the league. Keeper looks solid.

Agree with what most have put. Seaman did well, Bostock looked class when he came on. Neither of the strikers offered anything though and we lacked creativity overall. We really could do with Taylor, Hiwula and Okenabirhie.

I’m quite shocked how disapointed some are on here!
All hose who actually believe the season to be a struggle are probably dealing with this first defeat a bit better than those that are looking at our new squad and expecting results from the getgo!

THIS IS A SEASON OF FINDING OUR FEET

let’s hope we learn something from each defeat until we can turn the corner, I expect us to be bottom 6 by XMAS, but a better end of season run in should see us clear the relegation places, with a well earned 14th place finish…
