It looks like we are being battered a bit.
No shots at all from us and Stoke have had 65% possession.

Not sure what happened in midfield for the goal. Greaves seems to lose it too easily and then they run through too easy.

41' CHANCE. Charlie Seaman shoots from the edge of the box. It's tipped around the post by Davies. 1-0

Is this the weakest starting XI we've fielded in a "proper" match since we were in the Conference?

I recall us losing 1-0 to Yeovil at home around Christmas, maybe in L1 but certainly at BV and under Penney - think we released Adam Hughes the week before then re-signed him for one game and ended up with him and Uros Predic in midfield. Would love to know what the rest of the XI was that day but google hasn't been able to help my spotty memory on that one.

I think the team was

Budtz,
Fenton, Foster, Albrighton, McDaid
Ravenhill, Hughes, Mulligan
Guy, LFW, McIndoe

Subs used: Thornton, N.Roberts, Offiong

IMHO stronger than tonight

Oh definintely looking at that - seemed a real low point at the time that it stuck with me!
DN
The one you're thinking of was a 0-1 defeat at home to Blackpool.
Warrington
Mulligan
Foster
Fenton
Ryan
Hughes
Predic
Thornton
Forte
Heffernan
Neil Roberts.

That was poor but 7-8 of them would walk into tonight's side.

The lineup when we played Ipswich at home or maybe palace when wickham scored a hatrick?
I remember seeing our lineup and lumping on them to win and I think we lost 4-5 nil

I just saw Norwich 6 up against Bournemouth and thought that Bournemouth must have had players sent off……….but they still have a full contingent on the pitch.

This one

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/9395076.stm

Horrendous night and lineup. We had horrid injuries that year.

I remember a game the next season being awful aswell, Millwall at home, think Harry Kane scored that night.

Does anyone know what happened with Cam for him to have to go off.
went off holding his back,we are not doing too bad, they are a lot quicker at times with the ball and fairly quick going forward,Blythe looks decent at back Williams and seaman looks like more wing backs and Gardner done ok up top just coming abit to deep at times

Was that when SOD dropped a couple of players after an incident on a night out? Although given my memory earlier on this thread that probably didn't happen either!

We lost 0-6. The team that night would get a cricket score against our side tonight.

Not sure if would,
Anyhow over recent years we’ve played weakened sides in the cup on numerous occasions

I know we have Dickos. I was asking if we have ever fielded a worse one than tonight in recent years.

The example you gave was man-for-man much better than tonight's in at least 8 positions.
