  Watched a news report this morning about the Labour led Sheffield City council stopping a Roy Chubby Brown show at the City Hall early next week despite a large protest to their actions.
  Not a mention on Look North at lunchtime not surprisingly on the now WOKE BBC, but censorship of actions taken by an elected body against the wishes of a large number in  their area who signed a petition wanting the show to go on.
  The left need to look back in history and realise that the communists and the Nazi party started out that way.

Do your research before you spout off.

No-one has "banned" him. They've decided he's not appropriate for a publicly funded venue so they've chosen not to go ahead with the booking. If a private company want to book him and put him on their stage, they are totally at liberty to do so. Meanwhile, if the people of Sheffield don't like the Council decision, they can vote the councillors out.

Sheffield Council can decided who they do and do not choose to book in their own facilities though. That is all that has happened here.

I remember going to see Frankie Boyle at Buxton Opera House about 10 or so years ago and he started making sick jokes about Madeleine McCann. I walked out immediately. How can someone attempt to get laughs out of the disappearance of small child? What is more, the people sat around me found it amusing.

Everyone knows what they going to get when they buy tickets to see Chubby Brown .

He's done it for fourty years up and down the country .

There's usual signage on arrival saying if you are easily offended stay away and it's printed on the advertising boards and tickets .

I've seen Chubby a number of times when I was younger and he takes the pyss out of himself as much as anybody else in my opinion .
