Fev Rovers and Dons
« on October 10, 2021, 08:57:20 am by Campsall rover »
I know this is a football forum but today is a big day for 2 local clubs.
Well local to me. 9 miles to the Moat and 10 to Post office road.

Just to wish both the Dons and Fev Rovers good luck in today’s play off finals.

I have been following Rovers ( Fev ) since i saw my 1st Rugby League Cup final on TV in 1967 Fev v Barrow which Rovers won.
Ever since then I have latched on to them as my team even though i was from North Leeds. The Leeds RLFC were always my 2nd team. Then when I moved to Doncaster in 75 I started watching them regularly for around 10/12 years.

I really hope Fev can make it to Super League it would be fantastic to see Post office Road rocking again as it was 40 years ago. Gates regularly of 7.000 in a town of 15.000 population.
Also hope the Dons can pull it off today and secure Championship status.
Would be great for the Club and Town to see them doing well.

Think it will be live free on the 'our league' app if anyone wants to watch it. Half my family traveling up, having a great time by the sound of things.

Being a Cas fan I hope Toulouse give Fev a lesson but think it will be a close and very good game that could go either way. Big game for Don's hopefully they pull it off.

I will let you off Rovers91 ( being a Cas fan ) that is. No accounting for taste is there.  ;)    :) :) :)

Yes think this is going to be a very tight game. Could be either a very low scoring game but my hunch is quite a high scoring game.  Something like 30 to 25. Now which way I don’t know. Just hope Fev can pull it off.
They had to play 21 league games and won 20. Toulouse on the other hand only played 14 and won them all including winning at Post office road.  Most teams did not travel to France because of Covid.

Question is who is the more deserving?   After last seasons heartache in losing the final in Toronto I think it is Fev’s turn.   :that:   But I am bias.

I do think it will be a high scoring game today but I honestly can't call it. Theres rumours Fev have signed JSL and Eden so if they do get to super league and the rumours are true least it will be good to see them two back at the jungle next season.

We aren't a Sheffield club, that's why.

18-12 ht.

Dons need to cut out the unforced errors and find a second gear.

They are supposed to cover all South Yorks and North Derbyshire teams.
Supposed to.

My first ever Dons match tbh- had chances in second half but the better team won.  Dons have got a great set of fans.

Come on Featherstone you can do it.

This should be a cracker. Live on Sky Sports. Sitting comfortably but nervous.
Really want them to do this.
They deserve to have a go at Super league. Come on.

Nice to see Fev getting it handed to them especially after stick they were giving us on way out at Wembley when Saints turned us over.

Can’t see them turning this round at 16-0

Will need some 2nd half performance now.

Rovers91 what do you expect with Cas and Fev they are rivals.
Would be exactly the same with DRFC and Rotherham or Scunthorpe.

Gave it everything that 2nd half but Toulouse were just a bit too good.

Good luck to them next season.

For Fev maybe 3rd time lucky next season.
