Not surprising really, the price cap remains in place and the wholesale price of gas remains elevated.Why the government thinks this high gas price is only a temporary spike, I don't know. It's only the Autumn and it hasn't started getting cold yet!Somehow I doubt a few weeks of subsidy for industry close to collapse is going to be anywhere near enough. Its looking like another massive bailout will be required, how often can we keep doing this?
What would nationalising it do? Pass the cost on to the consumer or taxpayer..nationalising them does not make up for the lack of infrastructure or alternative, it's not the right approach.
