tax havens

As tax avoidance appears to be a topical subject, let's have a closer look.

''How Britain is responsible for a third of the world's lost taxes''

Oh no, not more from the Britain haters!

Well no actually if there were no havens the world would be at least £245bn better off.

Watch the short vid, it's interesting.

To be fair that is an excellent video, probably the best explanation about tax havens that anyone can understand.

Tax evasion Is an odd one for me, I’m a contractor who has worked through my own Ltd company for 15 years, since the Tories took over people like me have been continually attacked for Tax avoidance/evasion . They have hammered professional independent workers to such an extent that it’s barely feasible to work this way anymore. I’m demonised for all the hassle of running an actual business without any of the tax benefits that any other company would be allowed to. Yet very rich individuals who earn huge amounts of money can actually pay less tax than I do, and be protected by it in secrecy, while I have IR literally looking over my shoulder at every move.
