It’s too soon
« on October 31, 2021, 11:21:51 pm by Sammy Chung was King »
To sack Wellens. They are still touch with getting out of the drop zone. They have players to come back that will greatly influence results. The managers job is to keep in touch with the teams above.

He has built a side that unfortunately when they have a bad day, it’s a really bad day.
They lack physicality, experience and have a solid conviction to play the short passing game. The problem is to play that game you must be confident. We have fragile confidence because of the youthfulness of the side. We won and drew the previous two but still lost any belief against Charlton once the first one went in.

He has been very brave building a side that tries to play it’s way out of trouble, in a league that mostly depends on brute force.
To get out of this league you have to be special playing like that. He has to stick to his beliefs.
To make this work he needs know how in central defence, midfield and attack. He has no choice he must raid the free market and get them up to speed as soon as possible.

Can't this be added to one of the many threads discussing Wellens? Another new thread not needed. It gets confusing.

And where is he to get the funds from as he still needs bogle and Williams off the wage bill?

Fingers crossed they are gone In Jan and we can get this defensive midfielder in to sure us up.

Maybe a forward, but maybe that's too much wishful thinking, with Fej coming back soon, or maybe not, we may not need one.

mpc you say soon but we’ve been hearing this for months now, he was supposed to be back after the last international break. Really hope the injury is not more serious than anticipated.

Give him as long as possible to turn things around.

https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/another-new-trialist-joins-up-with-doncaster-rovers-ahead-of-first-friendly-3301734

First week of JULY we knew that Fejiri was an injury doubt / concern...

Maybe i missed it but it has been very vague what the issue is all along? I believe something was mentioned in the summer that it was a long-standing issue with the arch of his foot?

While I do agree, I don't think we're in a position to do anything else.

Butler was unmitigated disaster, that we are still paying for.

We could do with 3 pairs of stilts for openers as other Teams seem to be "head and shoulders" above us

May be an illusion ?

Sounds like you’re volunteering your services a big hairy defender. Don’t think you’d do much worse DW
