In case anyone missed it..

He got the equaliser against Wedesday on Saturday which was his late Brothers (Ross - rip) team

Celebrated with Alfie May and they were both in tears.

Wonderful moment for him and his family. Sure his brothers looking down on him proud as punch.

Absolutely, and they would be in my team tomorrow if they were still here.

Didn't he also score an own goal to make it 1-2 before scoring the equaliser?

I would have them back here to add experience to our side. They had to go to relieve the playing budget that DM had to allow him to bring in good loans and Okenbirhie.

Thanks for that, powerful stuff. Must be something in my eye!

Gutted we let him go when we did. Had an injury troubled final season but would've added something to this side with his energy and work-rate I'm sure.

And so many on here were saying "I like Alfie, but he is just not good enough for this league", probably the same ones who want to sack Wellens and wish Bogle was playing.

The problem is people thought we would get our own better players we did initially with Taylor and Okenbirhie and he was supposed to replace Marquis.

Matty Blair and Alfie are well below average L1 players. That’s a fact. Admittedly they would be better than some of the absolute dross we have at the minute but people are getting nice lads confused with good players.

I was someone who wanted rid of May and wasn't too fussed when Blair went. Until recently the aim was a play off spot and to do that we need top League One players, which neither of those two are. Unfortunately as a club we've regressed to a point where those two would now get in and around our squad.

A team needs those type. Man Utd won titles for years with the likes of Wes Brown, O'Shea, Fletcher etc getting plenty of games. They were average Prem players at best but they had the right attitude and filled in when needed and would never let the team down when needed to do a job.

Can't rose tint anything they weren't the players who were going to lead us to the playoffs but they would have been a valuable part of a squad that could challenge. There part when injuries struck etc.

Blair was a steady player for us. His experience would have been useful in our side. A good pro who gives his all.

I'd rather have Blair than Knoyle and previously Halliday.

Knoyle made the goal tonight with a great ball into the box which was almost impossible to defend.

Useless idiot.

Some of you lot are a disgrace. Supporters. All you do is slag off the club, manager and players.

You are living in cloud cookboo land.  Get a grip on reality.
When we finish somewhere between 18th and 15th RW will be the Messiah with some of you who are slagging him off now.

You wouldn’t want to be in the trenches with our supporters. If the players had the same heart we wouldn’t get another point.

Cloud cookboo land ?

The problem is.... reality is setting in. We are poor, very poor.

We lost Whiteman, the backbone and took the money.

Midfield average, defence poor, attack poor = bottom 4 !!

Now just a minute, is it Richie Wellens' fault we sold Whiteman and took all the money? If there's a common denominator here it is not Wellens.

Never once asked for him to be sacked.

For me the blame lies upstairs.

Yes, he has signed some poor players, but most were desperate signings. His biggest mistake was letting Bulter go for williams.

No manager wants to work with an ex manager when he wants to put his stamp on authority. We don't know the ins and outs of Wellens relationship with Butler, but I suspect the reason could simply be that.
