Reading Hodens update in the DFP they seem to have forgotten that Smith is banned for the Lincoln game

It’s clearly not ideal as we have three league games in seven days starting with the Lincoln City match. I doubt from what Wellens is saying that they will be anywhere near those games.

Regarding Fej… how can the medical staff say he will be available in two weeks then him not be? Surely the last few weeks of recovery after having no pre season would be a mini pre season and fitness work. The injury would be history surely.

The physio and medical team should be taken to task by the club and CEO they cannot keep getting the dates wrong. They are not even training yet. Are they seeing private consultants who are good their field this ridiculous.

Yep, doesn’t help anyone being given false hope.

Better forget about those three until we see them again in a Rovers shirt.

Better news on Close hopefully though.

Shall we have a whip round for them to go private? Doctor death is doing us no favours.

Why is it when we get someone injured it is more often than not that is the last we see of them for at least a month?
What are our physio team doing?

I've just found his Twitter and one of his recent posts is suggesting that our players love a good SNUS whilst avoiding getting the vaccine.

'Jcsportsphysio' for all those who are interested.

You get the sense whatever it is, it mainly involves leeches.

I think a lot of what is said is lip service, especially when certain folk are under pressure

Totally embarrassing. RW will be getting even more flack in the next few weeks and the back room staff don’t seem up to it at all (and you can add PG to the list of incompetents).

Yes, you are right there. It is Saturday, Saturday and Tuesday, not Saturday, Tuesday and Saturday.

Just seems to me that we are told that “players are close to a return” … the return date approaches and then Bam.. more bad news regarding said players. Is it the medical team? Or is it RW choosing his words to appease fans that we are nearing the end of the injury crisis when in all honesty we aren’t… thus buying him a bit more time . It’s just a view on things and after all he has thrown players under the bus so why not the medical team also?

Maybe Fej and Taylor are following in the footsteps of Danny (the toe) N'Guessan.

I think some of our players have got what's known locally as "Scawsby Steve syndrome", so-called because he was off work for 3 weeks once with a broken flask.

Actually, that was quite recent, BB. Which is why I'm so looking forward to retirement.

There must be a story with the Fej situation.

I agree the Fej one is strange.  I'm not sure you can ever get rid of the injury if you are prone to it. (Plantar fasciitis) but we don't seem to have any sort of news on him - is he training, keeping fit in other ways - you certainly can't run with it, so is he swimming, on a bike... Just more information would be great.

We desperately need a fit Fej back in the team.
