Now the waiting is over, and whatever side we fall on. The question is what would we expect substantial budget to mean in January?Does it mean we have 500k to actually pay fees for players, showing some intent for staying in the division? Does it mean scrounging around for some absolute drivel on frees? Does it mean getting in some experience but having to shell out a decent amount on their salary? What does the 'substantial budget' mean in your mind?
Agents will take a %.
We need to send the three underperforming loans back and replace them with three stellar loan signings. Three loans of the same quality as Kane & Wilks. A midfielder, a winger and a Goal scorer. They should be our priority. Anything left in the pot gets spent on a left back and steady experienced back up keeper. Both permanent signings. Both until the end of the season with options to extend. To me, that's what a substantial budget will get.

Thing is, we can't judge these loans until they've played a few games as we generally know bugger all about them until they get here. Would agree though. With our recent history in the good loans you mention, there's no reason to believe we're not aiming for the same quality. So far Galbraith has worked out well. Smith has been a slow burner but you can see there's talent there. It wasn't too long ago in this very window, we secured Jacob Ramsey.
