Liam hoden q and a on Facebook
« on January 02, 2022, 09:23:31 pm by normal rules »
Liams just finished his latest post match q and a on the dfp fb page. I had no idea he did them. Worth a listen next time.
It went on quite a bit today , for obvious reasons.

The game in general, how scary it was that taking out Gardner Bogle and Barlow caused such a collapse

Sounds like 3 loanees will be going back, Vilca, Cukur and reading between the lines Dahlberg

Nothing imminent transfer wise before Fleetwood

How he believes a DoF isn’t a bad idea

Talks about today’s capitulation. And how he feels there will be long term team damage from it .
Talks about familiar problems with the squad. Lack of backbone is a phrase he uses. ESP when there are setbacks, such as conceding.
Credits bogle, Barlow and Gardner for their effort. And goes on to describe how scary it is that these three players were so key to the first 30 mins of today’s game, that when they get injured and go off, we collapse. And these are players who have had limited impact for the squad this season.
He singles out hiwula, dodoo and cukur for criticism. And rightly so. I think his ratings in the dfp will reflect this. He is not known for giving out 1.

I like when Hoden does lives and podcasts. Wish he did it more.

It was telling when someone asked about Ben Close and all Hoden could say was there has been another setback and there was no date for a return. It’s consistent - players go down with initially minor knocks and before you know it they are in the treatment room for months on end. I’ve never seen anything like this.

Some opinion,  it it’s clear from later on in the chat he has the ear of people at the club when he talks about long term continuity.
He talked frankly about how today’s game played out and got it spot on IMO

and here me thinking there is no way Jones will start in goal against Fleetwood

ifD ahlberg goes back then we obviously need an emergency loan goalkeeper

we did this trick a few times when Jones as the No.2 had never made his debut

that third goal was an absolute fluke the way it bounced off the player onto their forwards toe end
