Because that's what twitter lets them be.

Except there's now some fairly good evidence showing he was due to be playing till it was called out on Twitter and they've realised just how poor it looks.
Another one to chalk onto the 'This club is now run by people who simply don't have a clue from the top to the bottom' list.

It’s a complete non story. They’ve used his name to promote the event (raising money for a good cause) and the event promotes him (his YouTube channel). It works both ways.

Playing 5 minutes in a charity game would hardly be the crime of the century anyway would it.

If you was his manager or employer and he played 5 minutes and got injured again how would you feel?

If he was going to play for a few minutes he might have got clearance from the club to do so.

If it’s true that he was planning to play for 5 minutes (or even 1 minute) then he is a total waste of space and should be kicked out now.

We’re fighting to stay in the third division. We’re paying him a lot of money to help us stay up. So far he’s mainly been injured. Get a grip John. Do what we’re paying you to do.

Our manager send players on extended holiday when we have a game on. So I think he’d not be bothered.

Not wishing to put any money into the club is not the same as not following the club.

If everybody had the same idea Wes we wouldn't have a club at all.
Just think if Richardson had made fans give up.

If I was to be super cynical in many ways it no longer feels like we have a club at all anyway. I'm pretty open that I never ever took to the Keepmoat. Up until this year I thought it was my love of football dying but I've hit a non league game just about every Tuesday this year and its properly rekindled my love for the sport.
Relegation at Rovers doesn't bother me, I look back and enjoy the Conference years more than most other eras. Where I'm disappointed more so than ever before with the club is the abject apathy at just about every level of the club. I'm genuinely bored of hearing how much we're succeeding off the pitch when anything that actually affects me, the paying punter is bloody awful. I've never had that experience at a single ground I've done this year. It still feels like every stakeholder at these grounds still cares.
The only thing I agree with SM on is that what happens on that green rectangle isn't always predictable and we're going to have some good and bad years thrown in now and again.
Its why more than ever the club should be inspecting every single element of the match day experience and making sure its exemplary in every way and I hate to say it but I think they either believe its good, its not losing them money or they just don't care enough.
