Where's Johnson?
« on August 01, 2022, 08:40:29 pm by wilts rover »
Given that we have the largest multi-sport event outside the Olympics currently ongoing and have just hosted the most important Women's Football tournament outside the World Cup - where's Johnson at these?

You usually cant keep him away from a photo opportunity - is the people's prime minister scared of being booed in public again?

His funeral is taking place in Lisburn, County Antrim, today. Politicians, including Boris Johnson, are among those attending the funeral, after the former Ulster Unionist Party Leader died last week aged 77.

Stitched up better than The Bayeaux Tapestry he says about being kicked out, haven't we heard that phrase somewhere before?
I hope the speculation about putting Dottie Dorries into the HoL so that he can have her safe seat is incorrect.

Apparently Johnson returned from a holiday in Slovenia last week.

Today he's on holiday at a resort near Athens.

What exactly has he been doing regarding running the f**king country in the last few weeks before he's finally kicked out?

It was a very strange decision to leave Johnson in charge while a new leader is appointed.
As I said yesterday, Rovers appoint managers quicker.

But while he's not in the country he isn't in charge. Is anybody actually running the country?

I think that he is just letting Truss and Sunak battle it out as the country gets deeper in the mire.
He can then say, "Look how bad things have become after I was forcibly removed".
That will have his most ardent supporters clamouring for his return.

He can't win in the eyes of Labour supporters no matter what he does. One minute they're moaning that he should have been instantly removed from leadership responsibility and the next they're moaning that he's not still running the country!

It does make one chuckle.

I know that Starmer is in Opposition BB but I haven’t seen anyone having a pop at him for being on holiday, well except for Gordon Brown.

Well, they wouldn't Hound, would they? They aren't accused of blatant, one-sided, bias for no reason.

Johnson is PM and being paid as PM in the middle of a national crisis. He won't be PM in 4 weeks. Would it have been impossible for him to delay his holidays by a few weeks? Is that too much to ask?

How about you engage your brain for a moment before you write another daft post and think about the difference between Starmer and Johnson's positions?

One will still have the responsibility of his post for the foreseeable future. One will have all the time in the world to go wherever he wants on holiday.

While you're keeping your gob shut, you could educate yourself by doing a bit of research on exactly how many holidays Johnson has had since becoming PM. You'd find it interesting.

And here we go again.

Typically, the more b*llocks you talk, the more insulting you get and the less sensible answers replies you give.

Johnson has holidays at the wrong time. Starmer can have them at the wrong time because he's in the job for a considerable time!

It does make one chuckle.

Starmer is not PM, not even Caretaker PM, he can’t do anything, meanwhile the caretaker PM is on his second holiday while the Country burns and he doesn’t give a toss, there is a big difference between the two but whataboutery is your Modus Operendi

If you leave, you aren't in charge

If you stay, you're in charge

If you demand to stay and then go on holidays , the jobs not getting done.

BB.
God this is tiring but...deep breath

I have  no problem with anyone taking a holiday. A PM in particular has a horrendously stressful job and needs to recharge their batteries.

But he's not going to be PM in 3 weeks. So he doesn't have batteries to recharge. He can take as long as he likes n whatever holidays he wants after the start of September.

But that's not Johnson is it? He's barely lifted a finger since he was forced to put his resignation in the post. He's dressed up as a soldier and pretended he was in the trenches. He's flown in a Typhoon. He's held a massive wedding celebration at the PM's taxpayer funded country mansion. Then gone on one holiday. Come back for a couple of days. Mumbled something about how we must do more to help people with energy costs, then f**ked off on his second foreign holiday in a fortnight.

Given that the Tory party has a leadership election process that takes longer to run than the duration of some Popes' reigns, Johnson IS still PM. I'd prefer it if he weren't but that's where we are.

That's what he is. A f**king spoilt, entitled kid. And you will support him to the death.

He should have been instantly removed, but he wasn’t so therefore we have to suck it up, but the least we could expect is for him to work his notice and run the Country

BST. Johnson is PM for the next 3 weeks in name only. His position now is impotent. On the other hand, your great leader is firmly in charge of the opposition party and should be responsible enough to be there, in such a time of national crisis, standing for what you believe in.

Instead, the bugger buggers off on holiday!

He's PM. Full stop. He's drawing the wage. He's using Chequers for private parties. If Putin launches s missile at us at 3am, it's Johnson who makes the decision to fire back.

There is no such thing as "PM in name only".

In that case, there is no such thing as an Opposition leader in name only, if They're not there to oppose.

What the f**k are you rabbiting on about now?

The issue is not whether it's acceptable for someone to have a holiday. Of course it is acceptable. The issue is whether Johnson might have had the decency to actually be PM for the last few weeks and save his holiday till after he had left No 10. (Although, of course he HAS left No10...)

My issue is that Labour supporters wanted him out of office immediately and kicked up shit at the idea of him still being active in decision-making. Now that he's allegedly not active in decision making Labour supporters are kicking up shit!

Actually, that wasn't your issue when you started ranting, but we'll let that pass. You have a habit of wriggling like a fish out of water when you realise you were talking b*llocks.

Regardless of what anyone wanted, he IS PM.

He's drawing the wage. Getting all the trappings. And not doing the job. If he didn't want to do the job, he could have resigned instantly and let a formal caretaker take over. But he wouldn't do that. Because he's having his last jollies before he f**ks off into very well deserved obscurity.

What do you mean that wasn't my issue to start with? Talking b*llocks again, I see.

Regarding your last chapter, that could almost apply to your great leader Starmer.

Your first reply to me was  typical #bothsides load of b*llocks about Starmer taking a holiday. At least you've dropped that line now, so there's some progress.

As regards YOUR last line, you are doing that thing again that you do every time your argument is shown to be worthless. You move the goalposts.
