Despite the injuries last week that still looks a fairly strong XI.

Not sure how I feel about Rowe as left back when Maxwell in on the bench. Unless he’s got a knock you’d think the higher up the pitch Rowe plays the better.

Big chance for Faulkner too

Tactical, surely. Where does Northampton’s top scorer, Hoskins, play?

Maxwell struggled vs Salford, Tommy shored that side up.
It will be an option, depending how they see the game going, to revert back.

Will be tactical. And he can help Bobby through the game too.

I would have thought that Rowe is his “big game” LB selection from now.

Good line up.

Northampton humungous favourites on Bet365, can't really see the logic given the almost identical starts so far.

Rovers have started briskly.  Mitchell getting booed by the Northampton crowd.

Let’s hope that we aren’t Northamptons cup of tea this afternoon then.

Hoskins booked after a bad foul on Biggins.

Good line up.

Maybe the option when a more Physical LB choice is wanted.
How is young Faulkner doing?

Could have been booked early on but otherwise holding his own

Rovers the better team, playing some good stuff at times, without many clear-cut chances. Faulkner I think has been very strong so far. Miller chasing everything but not really got into the game. Tomlin and Clayton can orchestrate things in the middle but defensively both slow, so we're liable to runs through the middle.

Omar Bogle has two more for Newport today, he's definitely found his level.

0-0 fair reflection of the first half. 2 very inventive corners from us and another from Clayton that was going straight in and nearly caught Burge out. They’ve created next to nothing

Couple of scary moments from Mitchell, kicking along the ground straight to one of their players resulting in putting us under pressure at the back, and not coming to claim the ball till late, and having to clear the ball under challenge.
His kicking at times is dreadful, I'd love to know what % of his kicks go into touch, I just don't get it, if he's trying to find Hurst or Miller on the left, or any player for that fact, you'd think he'd practice and practice till he bloody well got it right!!

Just before HT the Northampton commentary team stated that there’s a lot of room for the home side to improve. Whereas Doncaster have been as good as they can be.
What an absolute nonsense statement

Good but he didn’t want to be here went in January to pick signing on fee the move to Newport for another signing on fee. League 2 was always his level if he could stay fit.

Tomlin had a great chance but put it straight in the keepers arms, we’ve upped a gear Northampton haven’t
