Another Tory Sex Pest
« on October 05, 2022, 08:11:52 am by wilts rover »
A minister under Johnson was accussed of sexual misconduct by a female civil servant. Johnson was made aware but refused to allow an investigation into the allegations (under the ministerial code the PM has the final say on whether an investigation can be launched into complaints against cabinet ministers).

Clearly he was innocent as he sent a letter of apology and agreed a financial settlement over his actions 'it is believed'.

A second woman also reported the same ex-minister making inappropriate comments to her.

The man is still an MP and member of the Tory Party.

Im a left of centre man Wilts but I’m pretty sure there is sexual misconduct on all sides of the house.
I’m sure I read a while ago there were 60 odd investigations ongoing in the House of Commons regarding allegations of sexual misconduct.

In other news, did you notice Pincher by name, Pincher by nature has had his investigation dropped by the Commons Watchdog because the alleged offences did not happen on the Commons Estate.
There was no dispute that the allegations happened at a Gentleman’s Club, so why was it ever started?
(Mind you, it got rid of the liar Johnson, so maybe was worthwhile)

I am pretty sure you are correct mugnapper in that this happens in all parties (been a couple of cases with the SNP I seem to remember, Jeremy Thorpe famously for the LD) but it has been far, far worse in the Tory Party post Cameron. 2 ex-MP's have been jailed for rape, this other one under investigation (not Burn) now Burn whatever he has done.
And they think Pincher is fit to be a constituency MP after groping people in public.
An arrogant personality and the abuse of power - is my guess at answering your question. Most MP's (of all parties are good decent, honest people, but a far too large percentage are just out for themselves.

The Guardian have helpfully put this list together

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/oct/07/conor-burns-dismissal-which-other-tories-have-faced-misconduct-allegations

Just for balance Syd, here is a list of Labour People who have been found guilty of sex offences.

Labour Mayor (Westhoughton/Lancashire) Nicholas Green – Convicted and jailed for 10 years for 3 rapes and 13 counts of indecent assault against little girls between the age of 6 and 10. He raped one woman on her wedding day.

Prominent Labour Party activist Mark Tann (who has met Tony & Cherie at Party functions) recently got a 15-year sentence for raping a 4-year old girl on 2 separate occasions.

Entire Labour Party conspired to conceal the activities of Labour Party activist and serial child-molester Mark Trotter, who died from AIDS before he could be convicted.

Labour Councillor (Manchester), George Harding – Charged with indecent assault on a girl of 12.

Labour Councillor Liam Temple Inciting a child into ‘gross’ indecency

Struggling to see many Labour MP's in that list hound.

Are you now going to do a list of Tory People for us - for balance of course?

Hasn't there been about 55% more Tory MPS than Labour MPS since Cameron?

Nah mate, that’s a job for Syd.
Anyway, the thread title is “another Tory sex pest” and it doesn’t say they have to be MPs.

Hound, you really ought to know by now that the BST party change the goalposts regularly, and only their rules count!

I honestly don't know why you bother. They're never gonna change.

There wouldn't be enough room on the VSC server if hound went back 26 years and reported all the tory councillors, activist and fb scuttlebutt like the list he put up.

But you are the one who always calls out Syd and goes on about balance? You will have people thinking you are just as bad, if not worse than him, if you only list one side? I mean no-one has ever accused Syd of being a hypocrite (just biased) ...

Wilts, with respect, can you show me where I always call out Syd for balance.
Maybe an odd time but not anywhere near as much as you are suggesting.
However, yes he is very biased and if the Guardian didn’t exist he would be stuck for something to do every day.

I'm so much better off ignoring your inane posts hound but when I post to pud my political opposite, I usually post questions directly to an unsubstantiated comment or on his position, I am not conducting a petty feud nor posting for arguments sake, I don't hate his party either.

That may be true hound - but I dont ever remember a pro-Labour posting among your 26000+ posts? Difficult to call one poster biased when you only post to back up/attack one-side - as you have shown in this thread.

Has anyone got any real knowledge of what has actually happened
All I’ve read is that he has touched someone legs.  I assume that because he’s been suspended it must have been unwarranted
Has anyone read any more detail and knows it wasn’t a boyfriend or someone he knew.
If he’s done wrong then he gets what’s coming

Given that Johnson didn't suspended an actual peodophile, two alleged rapists & two others who admitted sexual misconduct - you can be pretty sure that whatever Burns has done must be pretty serious.

There is no suggestion as yet that Burns is the ex-minister referred to in my OP - as this refers to an allegation with two female colleagues. It must be just a coinicidence?
