Vinyl record player with record facilty
« on December 19, 2022, 05:19:49 pm by ravenrover »
Been a few years since my old record player bit the dust. Some of my folk music albums aren't available as CDs so I am looking for a compact player to be able to play and record my Albums to USB
Does anyone have a recommendation for a reasonably priced compact player (nothing too techie) preferably with built in speakers that will allow me to play and record/download my albums
Thanks

There are plenty of very low priced turntable's with a USB output for recording onto a hard drive but honestly I wouldn't recommend them.  I bought one from Maplin some years ago and it did what it claimed but the sound quality was disappointing.
It did however set me off on a quest to get a setup to do a better job and now I get hours of pleasure from recording my vinyl and 'tidying up' the results.

I bought one a few years ago which I gave my lad.  It recorded ok. The only issue to think about is when you play the album and burn to cd it burns as one track unless you stop after each track.  I think there are some software out there that can rectify that but at the time it was something I couldn’t be bothered with. I just play my albums
