Papering over cracks
« on December 29, 2022, 11:01:43 pm by Sarge »
Don’t post much on here, watched Rovers home and away for many a year.

I’m more a glass half full bloke than half empty, having a season ticket for many a year I don’t think I’ve been less excited about going to a game than tonight.

Positives, two moments of brilliance for the second and third goals. Thought Biggins had a decent enough game. We won even after playing poorly.

Negatives, style of football (or lack of it) that we are playing, don’t think we strung together 3 or 4 positive (forward/decisive) passes all night. Inability to win second balls in any area of the pitch. Trying to play out from the back and playing ourselves into trouble far to regularly

A wins a win and we move on but god help us on New Years Day if we put in that kind of performance they’ll be more carnage that Tranmere on Boxing Day, of that I’m sure.

Oh another positive. Get to a degree why some of the crowd were booing Anderson, I was at Tranmere and was less than happy with his antics at the end of the game, everyone’s entitled to an opinion and to voice that. When the booing started thought I’d have £10 Anderson to score anytime.
