Followed by 2 great passes from Seaman and Biggins, and a great assist from George.

Agreed SS.
Miller must have been tempted to try to slot a shot inside the near post, which the keeper might have covered.
He showed great composure to put the ball to the back post for Hirst to finish.

That second goal was a thing of beauty.

A great team goal.

Moving the ball at pace (and accuracy) alongside great movement off the ball.

Personally I enjoy seeing goals like that more than the individual long-range hits which win most 'goal of the season' competitions.

Football is a team game after all.

Both goals showed the benefit of having a striker like Miller, even though he's been having a lean time of it in front of goal the fella has enough about him to hustle and panic defenders enough to have a decent hand in both goals today.

A striker who manges to create as well as score is worth his weight in gold to a team like us, well done George.

Best striker since Marquis, love watching his tireless running into the channels. He offers so much to the team

Replacing Miller with Agard unbalances the team and removes a dangerous threat from the opposition’s point of view. It is surely not an obligatory ritual to always bring on subs (? to waste some time) when it weakens the team.

To me it illustrates Schofield’s lack of flexibility.

I thought it was a poor sub to make as we then had one one up top to hold on the the ball at any time once he went off and put us under even more pressure,I know he went off at 2-0 but scored straight away then it was always gonna be one way traffic from then on unless we go to beak away

The subs were made at the wrong time, when they had a free kick which we knew  would be launched into the box, that was their only tactic all game, the subs also took too long to complete and disrupted our concentration, we switched off and paid the price, the free kick also was given the wrong way, Seaman was fouled

Whenever we’re rubbish filo you’re the first to start a post about how bad we were.
Yesterday we were good and the only posts you’ve made were about the poor substitutions.
Seems you’re not willing to give schofield a fair crack

It was interesting that all the players went to congratulate Miller as goal maker rather than Hurst as goal scorer.
I think that they all appreciate the effort and unselfish running that he puts in for the team and it showed in that moment.

Agreed. Take off a guy who runs his balls off the whole game and replace with someone who jogs about and is no threat at all. I felt we stepped down several gears after the subs tbh.

But we weren’t rubbish, the subs were preparing to come on, you see it all the times, teams will hold off from making the substitutions when defending a set piece, we should have done that yesterday, concentration might have been kept up at that moment. I’ve not mentioned Schofield once regarding yesterday, I’m still to be convinced, I’m also a critic of Williams, bought thought he played well yesterday, I give credit where its due and offer my critical assessment where I think its due, unlike yourself that thunks everything is all rosey

Anyone noticed how after the 2nd goal, almost all of the forward players went to congratulate george and not Kyle who actually scored? Never seen that before?

You’re missing my point,
Whenever we lose you’re the first on here posting about how bad we were.
But the other day when we were good you’ve shown no recognition of that performance just negative posts about the substitutions.

Yes  you had to feel a little sorry for Kyle, probably expecting to be jumped on only to see his teammates atop of Miller.

As you say ofcourse, recognition of Miller  creating the tap in and working his nuts off throughout the game.

Have to say it was a top turn and pinpoint pass by Biggins to put Miller in too!
