We desperately need a proper keeper.
Alex Cairns the Fleetwood goalkeeper has joined Salford until the end of the season, I honestly think he will be a transfer target for us next season, a local lad and all that
Max Watters joining Barnsley on loan is a rumour going around today. One for Tyke to chew over.

Jack Marriott released by Peterborough. 19yo Will Osula recalled by Sheff U from a loan spell at Derby due to a lack of start time. He's like a greyhound apparently.2 forwards at opposite ends of their careers.
Cairns hasn’t played this season because Fleetwood have got a Leicester City keeper on loan for the season and we all know how a lot of these loans work through past experiences at our club. They have also signed a Republic of Ireland U21 keeper from Cork City today
Don’t need a keeper. Anyone better than Mitchell at this level would cost a decent wage that we need to spend further up the pitch. We always do make signings in Jan. ok last season we got 8 with maybe some panic money but we should be able to make a few loans. Andrews loan must have been terminated a long time ago and the lad from Liverpool is no better than what we have on the bench of our own. If Ravenhill isn’t going to even get 20min from the bench then he needs to play on loan somewhere or it’s a waste of a contract. I’d either give him a chance or sign a loan midfielder so we don’t have Clayton as back up

It was a season long loan afterall, so whether he's able to get up to speed quickly after his growth spurt will be a big factor. He said in his interview when he signed, he wanted to grow as a player. Maybe he's done that by returning to Birmingham 6' 5" and now he's 6' 7" !! Seriously, he could be a decent option and alternative if fit enough. Of course, DS has not seen him at close quarters so he'll have to rely on Copps judgement.

Good shot stopper, has developed his command of the area and his kicking has improved significantly. What do you suppose a different keeper would give us that Mitchell doesn't?

I honestly don’t get this negativity towards JM, he is imho a top keeper at this level. His distribution is getting better as the outfield players are creating runs
