Whilst we wait for our first January business, others have been quite busy:

Colchester signed 5, 2 of them are loans
Barrow signed 4, no loans
Stevenage signed 2, includes 1 loan
Carlisle signed 2, both loans
Salford signed 1 loan
Walsall signed 2, both loans
Hartlepool signed 2, Inc 1 loan
Harrogate signed 1
Wimbledon signed 1 loan
Stockport signed 1
Bradford signed 1 loan

Noticeably, quite a few in and around the play-off’s.

You worry too much Alan, you do this every transfer window, I couldn’t care less what other clubs have done. Let’s see who we get by the end of the window, give Copps and DS the chance to show what they can do

Great to see this thread dragged out into the sunlight like a pit pony every six months.

End of January there will be some slagging off the business done, most will be happy. As soon as we announce a signing the player will be deemed rubbish and a cheap option.
Chill guys it will come together

I claim Alan Southstand is a "Gillingham denier" (either that or he typed with blue ink on a blue background !!)  and I claim my  £5  please put it on Gillingham to stay up for me.

DVR, I’m way past the point of worrying about anything the Club does or doesn’t do.

My post is purely an informative one and you either find it so, or not. Either way, it matters not.

The club are debating whether to keep Woltman according to the DFP. It may be factual or something for DFP to put out. Just information but nothing surprises me at the moment as DS says nothing imminent.

Get rid of Waltman? Who are they going to bring on for ten minutes at the end of every match to waste time, winning or not?

I have where DS says he’s worked with him and decisions on all players w including Max is being made. It could depend who we bring in in the next 19 days.

Standard process to discuss and review season long loans with the parent club. It's a two way process. If Liverpool think he's not getting sufficient development or game time, they can recall him and send him elsewhere if they wish. They'll of course take into account the players preferences too. Likewise, if we have concerns (as with Josh Andrews) we can terminate the loan too.

All DS is saying, is discussions around Max and other players are ongoing. I can't decide from what he said whether we want to keep or not or whether Liverpool want him to stay.

DS says he's developing, he's a talented player, he's started to show more intensity. From what you've seen, would you keep him?

Depends if keeping him will stop a better player from coming in. But performance wise then no.

I doubt it will stop a better player coming in but then again, I don't know what sort of fee Liverpool have commanded. He doesn't strike me as being the next superstar so I would guess not a lot. He hasn't had much game time and what he has had, he hasn't shown much to show he can make a difference.

It wouldn't bother me either way so we can only go on what DS thinks, seeing him in training everyday.

I don’t really rate Woltman but he’s young and probably will show more promise with good coaching and age, however he isn’t our player so we wouldn’t get the benefit. What we need are options and players who can make an impact. You only have to look at the last few matches, the players coming on only made a negative impact and that’s what needs addressing so he can go back and free up a bit more money so we can get the players we really need in for me

Tidy enough footballer but intensity is the key word, he’s lacking in that.

He’s not what is missing at present. Pace and goal threat needed.

On Woltman he’s not really had much of a run in the team to show anything. Struggle for him is he’s never going to be lone striker which is how we play.

But there’s no point having loan players who can’t offer us much here and now. Fair enough give him lots more time if he was our player to develop

We’ve never waited until the end of the window to make signings before

Todd Miller, on loan for rest of season from Brighton. Has one league appearance under his belt so far in his career.
