Mansfield game

Always done this by road, however quite a few of us going. Anyone else doing this via train? Can see it's 3 different trains just to get there unless anyone knows otherwise. With Sheffield to Worksop to Mansfield being the best route and also cheapest by the looks.

From memory, that's the only train route available these days. You could possibly do the trip via service buses, but it'd take ages.

I remember getting a service bus there because there was no railway station until 1995.

When we 1st moved down here there was a direct  bus service from Nottingham via Mansfield to Donny but that stopped a good few years back

Another train route is via Retford-Worksop-Mansfield, there’s a small pub on Worksop station and a pub/hotel 50 yards from the station

Just looked at Boston to Mansfield. 1 change at Nottingham. £15 return. Bargain. Mind you, it’s a 3 hr trip.

Bus from Donny to Worksop and then train? Still takes 2 hours!

If you're going from Donny on train, don't buy a ticket from Donny to Mansfield. Break it up and buy to Worksop and then from Worksop to Mansfield. Works out a good deal cheaper. Can even get a bus from Donny to Worksop for a couple of quid and then catch the train to Worksop.

1220 tickets have been sold with a further 500 ordered and are on sale some really brave souls want to go to this game. Let’s hope they go to support and and not abuse our players.

Grimsby was just over 1200

Bigger away allocation at Mansfield though compared to Grimsby. The stand holds 1800ish in total. Once we sell the last 120-odd in block E there's another block (block A) to sell.

By my estimate we've sold somewhere between 1300-1400 so far.

Hopefully we can take up the full stand and get behind the team.
