Fulham now in talks with Sasa Lukic, a Serbian central midfielder, for £7m. Think it would probably be quite unlikely that they buy both him and Whiteman.

FFS. He better not be running down his contract. 18months left on his deal so if he doesn’t go in the summer we are going to end up getting buttons if anything at all.

If Ben is picked to play we might see him on the telly this weekend as the PNE v Spurs game is live on bbc on Saturday evening.

You’d be surprised if PNE let him go for free. Maybe he won’t go this window but surely in the summer. Shame it’ll be a bargain at that point but to us the sell on will still be decent

You can understand why Lukic, an established Serbian International who played at the world cup at £7m might be more attractive than an untried player at the top level for £5m or £6m.

I do hope Ben gets his chance though.

The Lukic deal has just gone through. Undisclosed fee and 4.5 year deal.

Seen today that Fulham are heavily linked with him and are going to be putting in a bid of £5m. Watford we’re linked with him earlier on this month aswell. Hasn’t been in any of Preston’s last 3 squads since they’re game against Stoke on January 2nd.

Would be more money brought in to help bolster the squad if put into the team.
I think this was just wishful thinking !

I think he had a poor game by his standards against spurs, I think they would have been watching that game to see how he faired against premier opposition, saddly didnt play his best

The only way Ben will play in the Prem is if he goes to a newly promoted side or one he’s playing for next season that does get promoted

I thought so too, the game largely passed him by.

Ben appeared to have been told to play wide right which isn’t his best position.
