I have said it a thousand times. We are heading Scunthorpe’s way with the current regime. It’s just taken a while for the penny to drop for some.

But but but Jim... we are sustainable and that is all that count. Get these owner out of our club now before it is to late.

Im truly grateful for what Terry has done, but im at the stage now where i, hoping for fresh leadership.

I just cant stand watching this decline anymore. The football is appalling, and im really worried that we have not bottomed out yet.

It just gets worse week by week.

Sack the Sack The Board protesters!

Shut up you turnip

When they do, I will.
You are easily pleased, you would still be happy and clapping when were playing Armthorpe and losing.

Where on earth do you get the impression that I'm pleased from?

I'm done. There's no pleasure involved watching anymore. Interminable dross piled on top of garbage, week after week. The team, manager and club have run out of excuses.

All this sack the board guff has got me wondering. You sack the board, I don’t know how you sack the owners or do they sack themselves? You’ve sack the board who runs the club? I haven’t seen or heard of anyone coming in to buy the club so who going to run the club, who’s going puts their hand in their pocket to help day to day finances?

…and if past form is anything to go by we will not get a coherent explanation of what went wrong from the Head Coach.

1 goal against equals just one of his “key moments”. What will be done to rectify it will be expressed in generalised coaching jargon.

Although that does seem to satisfy some who rate him as better than his predecessor, despite the stats.

Which stats? His xG numbers are better than McSheffrey and fairly positive overall, which shows hope that the results will follow in turn, like with SOD.

I witness today, not good at all. But, if you sack the board who will run the club?

It's time they handed over to the fan. They say they don't want any of their investments back.

Let the people with passion run it and if that means are a lower end league 2 club that's OK.

It’s another step unfortunately to unraveling all the hard work done, to get us out of non league.
Within the next two seasons we will be back where we started. It hurts so much to say that.

What doesn't help is the fans turning on each other.

I feel there is good reason to rant about the current goings-on at Rovers.

Maybe the approach of some of the protestors is misguided. But some of the vitriol sent there way by men on this forum who are old enough to know better is astonishing.

Why?   They are not proposing and alternative.   Sack the board  then what.   I would understand the opposite view if there was a valid solution proposed.

Plus, there seems to be no recognition  of what TB is doing/ has done for this club

I'm not going to disagree with you on the point about "sacking the board", because clearly that isn't even a thing you can do.

I think most fans appreciate what the board has done in the past. They just seem stubborn and unwilling to explore alternative avenues to get Rovers out of this slump. The fear of loss is greater than their need for gain.

It isn’t about sacking the board, it’s about them waking up to what is going on around them.
It’s about not keeping appointing inexperienced managers and it’s about yes running the club sensibly but at least having a go a little bit.
The whole club stinks of non league in the way it does things.

I largely agree with this DS.

Terry Bramall, like JR and Dick Watson, will always be a DRFC legend in my eyes because of what he has done for the club and the personal generosity he has shown. Truly special.

And I respect what he has done in trying to steer the club towards a sustainable footing; a legacy of his tenure. Let's not forget that TB is in his 80s and I genuinely believe that he has tried to do the right thing by getting DRFC onto a sustainably solvent footing that gives the club a template to work from.

However, reluctantly, I now find myself thinking that if he truly wants to leave a legacy worthy of the name, TB will admit that it's time to hand over the reins to someone who can re-invigorate the club with new energy, significant new investment and new ideas. It'd be far from easy to achieve - Lord knows that potential multi-millionaire investors in L2 clubs don't grow on trees - but I think we've reached a point where it's increasingly the only serious option.

Am I alone in my thinking?

I think people are confusing investment with governance. Sure if Terry put in a few million more quid or someone else new did so, we would likely be in a better place than we are now. The point though is that as it stands now, we don't need to be anywhere near as bad as we are. Truly terrible decisions on managerial appointments and even worse player recruitment is that cause of the catastrophic collapse in our footballing credibility. We had a decent run on choosing largely the right managers and some decent players for several years, but the last 2-3 years have been one long and painful amateur hour.

we had a spell for 20 mins or so where yes we were on top and played ok, Hartlepool we’re awful and a half decent team would have won at a canter

Your right about managerial appointments. We could have had Fergie back this season but he likes a decent budget and he'll moan if he does'nt get one.

Overall, yes Hartlepool are a poor team but the hard truth is that they were much better with the ball than we were.
Their number 39 at the back barely broke sweat but ran the game for them.
