Watson Family

Does anyone see this as a pivotal moment in our fortunes at the moment?

This was dated June 2020. Would Darren Moore be approaching his second season?

It does seem things have slowly gone wrong since the Watson family decided not to hold a stake anymore not that anyone has any ill feeling for them doing so.

We were doing OK until Ben Whiteman left six months later. It appears to have gone downhill since that point.

It seems that the loss of Ben Whiteman is considered to be the sole cause of our current demise.  I would suggest that the loss of James Coppinger from the team has been every bit as damaging and yet has been pretty much forgotten.

I was hoping that Copps would be very influential off field and improve our standard of play since he hung up his boots but I’ve been disappointed.

The biggest issue with Whiteman leaving was how the money from that sale was squandered on a very poor recruitment drive. We had a modest windfall when he left and we have nothing to show for this. Absolutely nothing.

Whiteman was bigger IMO. Copps was being phased out in that season and Taylor Richards had covered the creative role very well, however we don't have someone with that eye and minus Tomlin we haven't for a long time.

the way I log into this site is by typing

so i have been seeing this for years

i could not believe that someone didn't "tidy up" the site and remove this .... it has been an embarrassment for years  the BBc also has some "years old pages" on Rovers that need removing   or should i say indexing

it's a vey poor introduction to the site for new viewers
