I suggest "trainee Rovers supporter Aaron" of "you know" "you know" fame listens to it

As we all know Barnsley's owners were after "land" when they bought the club  and are stuck with it

quote from C.E. "the financial health of the club is in a difficult position."

the club is losing money  and they are working to being sustainable.....

interviewer asked  if they need to sell players in the summer  ... and we get waffle

Yes their manager is doing an excellent job getting the results

he made a season changing decision against Cambridge   that showed how good a manager he is   in their September 17th match

when kitchen got sent off  68 minutes and Barnsley were getting hammered despite leading 1-0 - he decided to attack them

3Edwards
Substituted forCaddenat 70'minutes

16ThomasBooked at 70mins
Substituted forNorwoodat 75'minutes

27Aitchison
Substituted forBensonat 75'

and they with 10 men went on to win 3-0 away

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62858714

it was strange that on Saturday they again had a player sent off against yes you have guessed it  mighty (perhaps not) Cambridge

Barnsley were the only team in the top bunch to have an easy game on Saturday.

It seems Coleman knows more about Barnsley than the Barnsley fans ???

But the manager  let himself down going on believing if the disallowed goal had stood they would have scored that second goal as well.  That is pure stupidity - LIFE doesn't happen like that ,  he's still doing a great job though til   a "Pied Piper "  comes along "plaing his notes"

Depends what you class as ownership Coleman .

After the debacle of last season when one of the owners Paul Conway took upon himself to step in to the CEO role following Dane Murphy's decision to join Nottingham Forest and more or less wreck the club both on the field and financially he was sacked from the board along with Chien Lee and Grace Hung .

So the situation is that we have shareholders who own 40% of the club but no longer have any influence running it .

New Chairman Neerav Parekh has ploughed along with existing shareholders the Cryne Family and US based Julie Ann Quay over £2m in to the club through a rights issue to keep the club running .

The financial situation is concerning but not as yet critical .

The maximum ownership of the land surrounding Oakwell can only ever be 50% by any ownership and that includes future investors .

Barnsley Council own the other 50% when the late Patrick Cryne secured an agreement with the council so as to protect the club from any future unscrupulous ownership .

Thanks for the insight Tyke.
I listened to the interview with Adam Oxley on RS. The CEO went very quiet when asked about the financial security ( I paraphrase) of the club & being able to right of debt owed.
He used the word “ Sustainable “ ..you may have noticed it isn’t a popular word with some of our “ fans”. Best wishes over your way. Keep looking after Herbie.

I keep mentioning on here when the subject arises about wanting your owners out and how that can sometimes work out in reality .

As much as I criticised him at times give me Patrick Cryne and local ownership any day of the week .

You knew where you stood with Patrick whether we were in a bad place or having success and there's a lot to be said for that .

Yes tyke .. we have to keep drumming into our "apprentice" fans who should be wearing "learner plates" on their backs

Good luck tonight Tyke the Port Vale pitch will be horrific -  they say Vale have to adjust their "natural" style when playing at home

I thought about how much the Sheffield clubs "spent" in the January transfer window not a penny

The "prince with no money"'s team could even pay their debts

Wendies replaced a recalled loanee with another aged tall loanee   and now their players are starting to get injured - meaning they didn't spend a sausage ( rumour is their owner offered 40,000 tins of John West Salmon" for a player - but the other team didn't bite)

Forest presumably also recalled a fast winger - who sadly wasnt fast when playing for Wednesday.

so the "allegedly" 3  biggest teams (adding Barnsley) spent £0.00

Rotherham  I don't think paid any fee (excluding any loan fees) for a signing

that leaves to quote Lincs   "Little Donny Rovers" who are on the soundest footing

Aarron of " you know" "you know" fame take note  please gob shut keep.

I daren't criticise Darren Moore of "the game" "the game" repetitive fame as he's a big lad

:boxing:  apparently the "Saints "are after him for obvious reasons (think about it)
