England women v Belgium
« on February 25, 2023, 07:42:44 pm by Branton Red »
On Wednesday evening I watched England women against Belgium on the TV. They won 6-1 against a team ranked 20th in the world so no mugs.

Every time I watch England women they get better and better.

They were truly excellent on Wednesday evening and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them play - as much as I've enjoyed  watching any football team play for some considerable time.

Their attacking play in the opponent's half was outstanding. Constant movement off the ball; forward runs; great link up play; wide players looking to get into the box when the ball was on the opposite flank; midfielders getting forward to support the centre forward.

Truly they were brilliant.

I see nothing like this when I watch Rovers. Absolutely nothing.

We struggle against a team 20th in our own division.

U may not see anything like this when rovers play but it’s a completely different sport and should never be compared

If for any reason we played the England national team it would be double figures before half time

We wouldn't get double figures if there were no f*cking opponents on the field.

Agreed Dickos, the defending is dodgy and the keepers are worse than dodgy.
I can see though why people might enjoy watching the Lionesses, goals almost guaranteed which isn’t the case when watching the Rovers.

I'm not comparing ability. I'm comparing tactical approach and therefore entertainment value.

Double figures which way btw??
