Away allocation
« on February 26, 2023, 08:39:55 am by Filo »
Looking at the Bradford forum, it appears there was plenty of vandalism on the concourse in the North Stand, if our club ends up paying for the damage is it really worth allocating a large away following, extra revenue generated will go on repairs. Also we never seem to get a result when we give teams the full allocation, in my opinion this needs a rethink

We've had this over the years several times at Oakwell and the club sends the bill for repairs to the club whose fans are responsible .

If the away stand is vandalised it can only be the fans housed in that stand who are responsible .

I don’t think that is commercially feasible and certainly not at League Two level where away income over the season is badly hit due to microscopic size of some of the sides we are hosting. We have had a number of sides this season where we don’t even open up the North Stand as their crowd is so small. Bradford filling the away end is a major revenue source. You are probably talking equivalent of at least half a dozen or so away crowds on average. This is big money. Fixing a few bins pales into insignificance.

Can't blame having a large following of away fans on our inability to organise eleven players into some resemblance of a football team

And don't forget the Steward that was thrown to the Ground at the time the Advert Hoardings were kicked over

There were several Stewards in a line and the bloke got away and jumped back into the crowd. Hope CCTV identifies him and (not sour Grapes) he gets a lengthy ban

I've posted before that Fans who scrapped , assaulted Stewards and invaded Pitches contributed to Hillsborough disaster. If they hadn't behave for several years there would quite simply be no fences around that or any other Ground

We don't want them back but current behaviour might force a rethink

It’s assault & the culprit needs identifying if at all possible & punishing accordingly.

I saw 5 police officers walking towards the North Stand stand at half time. They weren’t standing with the stewards. If they had been perhaps it would have been more of a deterrent against unruly behaviour & most certainly assault of a steward.

For quite a while before the goal there were loads of fans standing on the flat area behind the hoardings. Just like loads of our idiots did at Mansfield. This is only tolerated because it seems the stewards are unable to control it. What do we conclude from that? Either (a) the stewarding is inadequate, or (b) we don't mind fans doing that despite what all the directives say to the contrary.

There was a young girl (Bradford fan) walking across white rose way with a seat. Along with the rest of her family.
