Tonight’s game
« on March 07, 2023, 09:50:19 pm by dickos1 »
I’m as positive as they come but that performance was an absolute disgrace, the worst I’ve seen for a very long time.
Lavery was so isolated it was untrue, and then we bring miller on to do exactly the same, play upfront 20 yards ahead of the rest of our players.
They were far better than us and they’re f**king harrogate town.
That performance could be a sackable offence

Sometimes you got to look to what kind of improvement I’d needed to be successful and then has the person in charge show enough to give confidence that it’s possible?

Answer is no. Schofield should go and an experienced manager be brought in. Even if that means he tells Copps/others things they don’t want to hear.

Have you not been watching all season.. Hartlepool home and away, Carlisle away, Tranmere away, Colchester away, Mansfield away, now Harrogate at home... woeful.. lacklustre is not enough a word to describe how lacking in energy, fight, tackles and guile we are.. we didn't look like scoring if we played all night again..

This is a measure of how bad things are when Dickos is annoyed with the performance.

Aside from the sugar rush of all those late finishes early in season, when have we actually played well?

Grimsby away definitely. Anything else?

It has to be sackable if even Dickos has turned!

The manager is a fraud.

Yes I’ve been watching and nothing has come close to how bad that was tonight

That Colchester game was probably worse. Just.

First half at Orient was ok. Then rovers reverted to type.

Not sure we had a shot on goal at Orient? It was solid but definitely not astounding.

And it was supposed to be “full throttle”!

I’m even doubting the wisdom of Copps, if he was responsible for the appointment.

The more I think about it the more I’m ok if we sack DS. Normally I’d say it’s too soon and we aren’t a sacking club. But he’s not shown any adaptability. He has one idea which isn’t working. Therefore he doesn’t need more time. He’s shown us what he’s capable of and it’s not enough.

If he’s not willing to change then it’s a easy decision

He won't be sacked, unless it's copps that is made to do it.
The board are incompetent, but will never admit it by sacking him. They will throw copps under the bus before they take any responsibility.

It’s dreadful but we are not going to sack Schofield. Whether they properly back him in the summer is another question though.

January 2021- Omar Bogle 18 months

January 2022- Kieran Agard 18 months

January 2023- Caolan Lavery 18 months

Absolutely setting fire to money and making the same mistakes over and over again.

Tonight is up there with the worst performance at home since we’ve been at that stadium. I really can’t think of many worse. The rotherham hammerings last season weren’t great but at least they were a good team.

That was completely indefensible. What have we become?

I doubted copps’ appointment from the off. Although I doubt he was appointed. I suspect he engineered the job for himself. Board in his back pocket and vice Versa.
Club legend as player, but it’s not looking rosy so far as HOF is it ?

Posted this last month. Since Marquis left, look at the litany of clearly unsuitable replacements. Rakish, Kwame, Cukur, Dodoo, Hiwula, Sterling, Tulloch, Bogle, Agard, you could go on. Some cheap, some less so. All of them you knew would not fill his boots. We didn’t invest in a replacement and we’ve paid many times over for sub optimal replacements.

The 4-0 pasting at Boltons hands was pretty dire if I recall.

Yes I thought we were excellent at home to Tranmere, for 3 mins, around the hour mark.

Apart from that erm no.

Unacceptable performance. The board, Copps, whoever need to grasp the nettle & bring in a manager who actually know the f--- what they're doing, but they won't. The club's downward spiral is gathering momentum & has not finished yet. Really fear for next season after that absolute embarrassment of a performance.

We're poor or average in all positions on the pitch. I doubt a visiting fan would take any of ours over theirs when they watch us play. As said before how many of our recent players who left went to higher level clubs? And, where will most of the current lot end up if released?

Dan Gardner straight to a bottom half conference team.

Griffiths loaned out to one.

Dodoo unemployed.

Couldn’t agree with this any more! He needs to show he has plan B,C etc
