We all know my bank Managers favourite club Gillingham charged only £1 entry when they had a crunch match against Crawley

well just noticed Crawley did a similar trick today

"Crawley Town ended a run of six successive League Two defeats with a convincing 3-1 home victory over 10-man Harrogate Town, boosting their hopes of avoiding relegation.

Two first-half goals from Aramide Oteh put the Reds in control and Jordon Mutch added a third midway through the second half. Anthony O'Connor's added-time reply was little consolation for the visitors.

Crawley had the boost of an increased attendance of 3,317 after tickets were reduced to only £2 and the club management released a statement appealing for maximum support until the end of the season following the Reds' worst losing run since becoming an EFL club in 2011."

So how about Rovers doing a "thank you  "  and charge £3  entry ???

or even a free cup of tea if its viable

We can't even give free tickets away at the minute. Trust me I know.

How about for every five extra people  you bring in with you, new people not on the database, the fan gets a free ticket for the next game. Or can pick his reward from a list?
For every person you bring back, who used to come to games you are also rewarded. All done through buying tickets which also increases the database of fans the club can contact.

Encourage rovers to be locals second team. Advertise for them. If they aren’t going to their teams game, they can show proof they’ve been to the other teams games that they support, this season and you will give them a reduced ticket.
Get into the local schools and get some tickets handed out to parents and kids, try and get a new generation of supporters.
Season ticket holders rewarded the most as they have put money in up front. Create half time fun at games. Half time penalty knockout to win a cash prize.
Skills competitions for kids out of the crowd where they can win prizes.

If you bring a group of five people then it’s fifty pound for the five if all adults. Kids come in at a fiver each. Pensioners the same price, armed forces and NHS also. Advertise it, get publicity for the club in the nationals and local papers.

This. I have been tasked a few times in distributing some free tickets via my work. To put it this way, selling cavity wall insulation on the council estates of Newcastle as 20 year old student was a far easier task!

I don't think it would make a difference. Season ticket holders are turning away when they've already paid for the game. When things improve on the pitch and generally around the club we can start looking at how to boost numbers. But until then I think it would be wasted as nothing attracts people to games.

I get laughed at when I try and give my ticket away.
