Crying shame...

...that a promising debut from Jack Goodman should come in a game where we looked worse that we have for 25 years.

There have been some shockingly bad halves recently but that first half, against a side that had won 3 of their previous 20 Division 4 games, caps the lot.

Absolute, abject embarrassment.

Worst part is we are still 12th and the teams below us don’t look like overtaking us even how bad we play.

Feels like there’s no going back or repairing this now. Faith overwhelmingly seems to have been lost in Schofield and the way the club is being run. Surely Blunt and co. know it?

lets re visit this after the gillingham (lose) grimsby (lose) , harrogate (lose), newport (lose) stevenage (lose) colchester (lose) and walsall (lose) games.
i cant see a single point coming in any of these.

Any chance he’s lost the dressing room because nobody seems to do what they are told?
It’s that bad it’s funny

They are following orders they don’t like or believe in and certainly don’t have confidence in. Does that mean making mistakes on purpose? No but it does mean mistakes will certainly happen with alarming regularity. Especially when we refuse to change

Yes of course he has lost the dressing room.
These players are putting in performances that are gradually getting worse match by match.
Now if his coaching methods were being taken on board by the players then we would surely see a gradual improvement game on game.

The confiedenc3 and belief is sapping away from all the players at an alarming rate now. That is blatantly obvious.

Any manager or Coach with this level of ineptitude who is repeating the same tactical plan, getting the same negative results, producing the same zero level of entertainment for as long as this man has, would at any other Club have been dismissed well before now.

How DS is still the head coach this eve, is mind bogglingly bizzare.
In fact it’s outrageous. It is neglect of duty.

Does Copps or Blunt seriously think this head coach is the man that’s going to bring any modicum of success for our football club in the short term or long term.

Well if they do then I fear we are staring down the barrel and this time next year we will be exactly where Rochdale are now. At the very best we will be hanging on for dear life exactly what Hartlepool & Crawley are doing right now.

If he isn’t gone by midday Monday 3rd April I think that I will be asking for a refund for the season tickets I bought yesterday for myself and my 10 yr old Grandson.
There is no way I am putting myself through all this stress and having my Grandson miserable for 90+ mins week after week.

I have probably only missed 10/12 home games in the last 23 seasons since 1999/2000 season and all of those would have been due to being away on holiday.
So for me to even talk about not attending Rovers matches let alone actually not turning up to see the games is alarming. Yes it’s alarming me that I could ever think this way.

What is being allowed to happen to this proud Football Club?

We have to make sure Copps as HoF realises the enormity of the supporters feelings and get him to hold his hand up and admit he made a mistake.
If he can’t do that because he thinks he will lose face with Blunt then Copps should resign.
What is the purpose of having a HoF if he can’t hire and fire.

Blunt made the mistake with the appointments of Butler, Wellens & GmS, therefore he is in no position to make Copps the villain for the appointment of DS.
He did his homework and genuinely thought DS was the right person to take us forward. He got it wrong.

The vital thing is no more of the same blunders happen again any time soon. I mistake is not good, 2 is very foolish, 3 is bordering on incompetence and Blunt has made 3. To make 4 mistakes would be criminal in footballing terms.

We must have an experienced manager who has a CV with EFL success on it.  Let him bring in his own Assistant/Coach also.

Yes it will cost but by heck the cost will be 10 fold if it’s not done NOW.

Is DS still in his job? It 9.30 pm the match finished 3.5 hrs ago
What are you waiting for? For him to resign? He won’t do that he has not got the dignity & self respect to do it.

Back to Goodman.

He made more physical challenges in his first 3 minutes on the pitch than Miller and Molyneux together managed in the first 45 minutes.

Which was 1 physical challenge.

Agard is out of contract he signed a 18 month deal last Jan. Reo has another year I think.

Can we bring Reo back? Might as well for what it’s worth he’s not getting a game and he might here

But part of the issue is Coppinger himself……HOF???? He is imposing style of play / signings - not fit for purpose - has to go with Schofield

We don’t need a head of football, never have. The board if they are still with us when the inevitable happens and he is sacked, need to tender out for someone else to pick our next manager, because they haven’t got a clue.

We are getting novices at the game in charge. Next manager someone else from inside the club. It’s not exactly the Anfield boot room promoting people who are good enough. They went outside the club for once with this fella and got it wrong again. He’s tried his best he’s just not upto the job.

There is talent in the squad to be doing better than this if he wasn’t so pig headed trying to get people to play a way that they can’t. He’s absolutely destroyed any confidence the players had. I don’t think some are giving their all either.
