It’s strange, SM, that you didn’t understand the appointment of RW, yet the same guy is sitting pretty at the top of L2. Perhaps there were other problems within the Club (which the latest announcement has supported) that restricted what RW could do? Don’t forget, he was faced with a major re-build!

We are not moaning about TB saying he is increasing funds available for recruitment DR
Don’t think anyone is doing that. We are all very grateful to him.
We just don’t want to see it poured down a black hole. 

The problem is he has got a Chairman and a HoF who are going waste this money on players that DS thinks will suit his master plan ( process ) problem his plan and way of playing is totally flawed.

With this coach most of us think that’s what will happen. A waste of budget & another wasted season.
One that could even cost us our Football League Status.
DS has showed his complete lack of  flexibility, tactical acumen and shown total zero knowledge of what’s required to be successful in this league.

Irrespective of the short comings in the squad and there are some of course there is no excuse for the utter tripe served up since he took over.
Ave 2 shots on target per game the last 20 games someone said the other day.
Now sorry that’s not acceptable.
Rochdale are bottom and they have far more attacking prowess than us. Far more.
Our goals scored column is a disgrace. If you don’t create, if you don’t get the ball in the box if you dont get bodies in the box you don’t score. We do none of those. I always thought the purpose of the game was to score goals.
Scofield ball will drive the fans into their armchairs or even into other football grounds. The generation age 7-18 will support a Premier League Club and we will lose these future potential fans for ever.

My take on this is:

1. Sustainability is hard in league 2 and just about manageable in league 1, it will not work in non league, and without funding we do not have the quality of players irrespective of manager to keep in this league!

2. Season ticket sale time - people should not be led to believe this has no part to play, we are a business! Lack of season tickets hurts the next push even more.

3. TB can now see, or has come to terms with, that the lack of extra funds has hurt the club.

DS in my opinion deserves the chance to bring his own team in, we are not in the best place currently and he is part to blame, but the bigger blame is previous managers, and the group of players we have amassed.

THEY HAVE NOT BEEN GOOD ENOUGH NO MATTER THE STYLE OR MANAGER FOR OVER 2YEARS. Stop lumping previous managers, current players and results on this guy, he can only be responsible for the 6 months he has been in charge. In which time he has had no money to change anything. Yet the loans and freebies have all shown to be better than what we had!

The club have to reset and start again - it will not be cheap, and i think the directors have been told so by both JS & DS.
Both JS & DS have been brought in to play the “Doncaster way” and this has been described as a total football style. DS has a tough job in trying to implement this whilst getting short term results.

Agree with plenty of this, although the season ticket point, I think SM stated this only makes up around 5% of our overall revenue

It would be interesting if they did put season tickets on sale for £100, it’s probably what’s needed, I do understand about the revenue, it must be well over 10m if 5% is season ticket sales

Yes I did Dickos, but read it again, I said it was great by the club, meaning it was a great piece of work by TB at the right time, I keep repeating to you that my gripe, is the same as many others who have the club’s interest at heart, and that’s DS is not the man for the job, never will be,
Also the next day the club made another statement from DB that he DS will be staying for the 2023/24 season now I don’t think that’s so great
